Lowly Eibar travels to the Mestalla on Sunday knowing that even just a point could help them stave off relegation. Currently in 16th place on 31 points, Eibar are just a point above the drop with Almeria behind them on goal differential, and Deportivo right there just a point back. Any positive result would go a long way into helping them fall into the drop zone.

Valencia on the other hand are trying to recover from that startling 1-1 draw with Rayo in midweek. Usually one of the better keepers in the league, Diego Alves’ gaffe on 20 minutes saw Adrian Embarba find the back of the net. Embarba struck the ball, and it looked like a routine ball for any goalie to catch, but Alves just had a mental lapse as the ball flew right by his hands into the back of net. Fortunately for Alves, all was reprieved after Parejo struck and all looked to be good for Valencia being up a man. It all turned sour after Rodrigo’s red card on 77 minutes.

When these two teams met back in December, less than 5000 people showed up to the Estadio Municipal de Ipurua in Eibar. Paco Alcacer struck not too long after the half hour mark, and that was the difference between both sides. Between these two teams, there is no history between them as the only meeting they have ever had was the one back in December, so Valencia are looking to complete their first ever double over Eibar.

With Sevilla’s loss to Real Madrid yesterday, Valencia are looking to pounce on this opportunity to pull three points ahead of their rivals with just three games to play following this gameweek. Tomorrow, look for Valencia to control the match through the midfield and goals galore from the home side.
