Deportivo La Coruna take on Athletic Bilbao on Saturday evening and Victor Sanchez's side are in desperate need of points.

Depor are eighteenth in La Liga and look set for their third relegation in five years. They are one point behind Eibar and two behind Almeria so things are looking bleak for the Galician side unless they can snap out of a horrific run of form that has saw them go 13 games without a win and pick up just six points in that run of fixtures.

Sanchez isn't concerned about the poor run and in his press conference the Depor coach said; "Deportivo needs one hundred percent to get a positive result and there comes a time when the statistics are broken."

Deportivo look to be without Cezary Wlik and Juan Dominguez for their trip to the Basque country but Ivan Cavaleiro looks to have recovered from a back injury and is available for selection.

Athletic Bilbao come into Saturday's game in good form and Ernesto Valverde's side are currently seventh in La Liga. Athletic have lost just one of their six games and two of their last twelve in all competitions after what had been a difficult start to the campaign. Valverde's side will also take on Barcelona in the Copa del ReyFinal in three weeks time.

Athletic haven't been the most exciting team to watch this year and games involving the Basque's have saw just 72 goals which is the lowest in the division.

Valverde will be without Unai Bustinza who is suspended and the injured Andoni Iraola, Ibai Gomez and Iker Muniain but he will be happy to welcome Aritz Aduriz, Mikel Balenziaga and Benat Etxebarria back into the squad after the trio missed the trip to the Vicente Calderon last weekend.

Athletic come into this game in good form and will be favourites to beat a struggling Deportivo side. However, Deportivo are running out of opportunities to save themselves from relegation and Victor Sanchez's side will be desperate to get something from the game and could punish any signs of complacency from the hosts.
