Valencia's talented young full-back, Jose Gayá has fought off interest from many European clubs, including the likes of La Liga giants Real Madrid, Premier League's newly-crowned champions Chelsea and FA Cup holders Arsenal by signing a new contract deal with Los Che in the past few hours.

The 19-year-old, who turns twenty later this month, has signed a new contract extension spanning up until 2020. It was believed that many of Europe's top sides have been scouting him over the past year as his consistent displays have increased his transfer value ten-fold recently. This season has been Gayá's first as an established starter at the Mestalla - and a clause in his contract has inccreased his buy-out clause from £12million pounds to £35million, scaring away potential suitors for a few years at least.

Gayá told the club's official website this: "I am very happy and proud to extend my deal with Valencia. It's what I wanted from the beginning and in the end things have turned out as both parties wanted. We've both emerged as winners from this and it is another dream come true. It was very exciting to debut in the Primera Division [with the club], and now I have signed on for five more years. I want to thank the club for this renewal; now we have a game against Real Madrid - which is always difficult, but we have our strengths and we will be going there [to be Bernabeú] to win.
