Barcelona will be looking to maintain their hopes of a treble when they take on Athletic Bilbao in the final of the Copa del Rey at Camp Nou on Saturday night.

Luis Enrique's men lifted their 23rd La Liga title last weekend after a 2-2 draw with Deportivo la Coruna on the final day of the season and will look to extend their record as the most successful side in the King's Cup with a 27th triumph before their Champions League final date with Juventus in Berlin next month.

Spurred on by a sensational front-three, the Catalans have been in terrific form in Enrique's maiden season as boss. They have not lost in their own country since February, having also gone six domestic games without conceding a goal.

Not to mention the fact that Barca will enjoy home advantage, even though they will be in the away dressing room. 50,000 Basque people are expected to make the trip to Camp Nou, where Enrique's side have won 26 of their 29 games this season.

But the treble-chasers will face a tough test against Bilbao, who have gone 31 years since their last success in the Copa del Rey, despite having lifted it 23 times previously.

Nevertheless Ernesto Valverde's side, who have already been written off by most, have already upset the odds on occasion this season - beating Real Madrid on home soil as well as thrashing the impressive Villarreal 4-0 in their final game of the campaign.

Though it will take an almight effort from Bilbao, who are winless since 2001 at Barcelona's home ground, with Luis Suarez set to return to complete their lethal front-three.

Alongside Neymar and Lionel Messi, the Uruguayan international has helped form a front-three that are only goal away from equalling the record set by Real Madrid trio Cristiano Ronaldo, Gonzalo Higuain and Karim Benzema back in 2011-12, as they scored 118 goals across the campaign.

But their first and foremost focus will be on notching a win for Barcelona that would take them just one victory away from completing their second-ever continental treble, just six years after the first - which included a 4-1 win over Bilbao in the Copa del Rey final.

After having gone unbeaten in their last 14 La Liga games, as well as overcoming Bayern Munich in the semi-finals of the Champions League, Barcelona are firm favourites to lift the Copa del Rey after losing out to rivals Madrid last year - but they will be sure to take nothing for granted against the Basque side more than capable of causing an upset.

Team news:

Athletic Bilbao are without a number of key players, with long-term absentees Iker Muniain, Ander Iturraspe and Jonas Ramalho all injured.

Oscar De Marcos is suspended and is likely to be replaced by Andoni Iraola at right-back, while Los Leones are also likely to rely on Mikel Rico on the right-hand side of midfield.

Midfield pairing Ager Aketxe and Mikel San Jose are likely to retain their starting spots, with the in-form Aritz Aduriz leading the line after his brace on the final day took his tally to 26 across the season and 10 in his last 11.

Luis Suarez could feature for Barcelona after returning to training in mid-week, despite missing the last two weeks of action. If he remains unfit, Pedro - with five goals in five games in the competition this season - will take his place

Long-time club servant Xavi, who played his final league appearance for Barcelona, could make one final display at Camp Nou before leaving for Qatar - but is likely to start on the bench.

Another expected departure, Daniel Alves, could start however - whilst Marc-Andre ter Stegen, having played in all the cups so far this season, is expected to stay in goal ahead of Claudio Bravo.

Enrique will also have Thomas Vermaelen available after he made his first-team debut last weekend, nine months after signing for the club, with the Barcelona boss enjoying a fully-fit squad to choose from.

Pre-match quotes:

Barcelona manager Luis Enrique: "Athletic are one of the most difficult sides to play against, they try and take the ball off you and they put you under pressure at all times. We need to be incisive and be aware of moments in the game when we can cause them problems. At no point in the season have we made the mistake of getting ahead of ourselves, and we will not start now."

Athletic Bilbao manager Ernesto Valverde: "If you have to choose a way to reach a final, you choose to do it with a positive momentum. This year we have been a team, with both good and bad long stretches. In the second half [of the season] we have achieved 36 points and we finished in Europe, which was our goal in the league. We only need to put the finishing touch with the Copa title."

Barcelona defensive midfielder Javier Mascherano: "Athletic are a Cup team par excellence and they are going to make it very tough for us in the final. Maintaining their culture in the global game that is football makes them a special club. It's striking that despite all the limitations they are still so competitive. It is worthy of all my respect that they still keep this philosophy regardless of results."

Athletic Bilbao centre-back Aymeric Laporte: "We must know how to overcome the pressure and the nerves. We know that Barcelona is a very good team and we have to think about what we have to do to play well. There is so much talent in their team we have to be vigilant to every move."
