Barcelona have reached agreement with Jordi Alba over a new contract that will see the Spanish international stay at the Nou Camp until 2020.

Alba has played a key role for the Catalan side this season as they have swept all before them to win La Liga, the Copa del Rey and they will attempt to make it a clean sweep when they take on Juventus in Saturday's Champions League Final. The new contract is said to include a buyout clause of €150m.

Alba spent seven years in Barcelona’s youth teams before leaving for Cornella as a sixteen year old. He had two years there before moving to Valencia where he stayed five years before transferring to Barcelona during Euro 2012 for a fee in the region of €14m.

The 26 year old made his international debut in 2011 and was part of the Spain squad that won Euro 2012. Alba even got on the score sheet in the 4-0 victory over Italy in the final and he has gone on to win 33 caps for La Roja.

Re-signing Alba will be a big boost for Luis Enrique ahead of this weekend’s Champions League Final and once that game is over the Barca boss can turn his attentions to securing the future of Alba’s team mate and fellow full back, Dani Alves whose contract expires this summer.
