After impressing at the U-20 World Cup with home nation Colombia, standout youth forward Rafael Santos Borré has move to Atletico Madrid

Santos Borré and La Liga giants, Atlético Madrid, have agreed to terms on a contract to bring the 19 year-old to Spain at the end of Deportivo Cali's 2015/16 campaign.

The youngster will be on loan at Deportivo Cali for next season, the reason behind this clause being Cali's participation in the 2016 Copa Libertadores.

Deportivo Cali

According to Santos Borré's agent, Helmut Wenin, Atlético have paid a fee of £5 million to acquire the forward, who has scored an impressive 14 goals in 24 appearances for Deportivo Cali.

This continues a trend followed by Atlético Madrid of bringing in South American talent in recent years. On top of agreeing terms for Santos Borré, they have recently signed Argentine forward Angel Correa and a pair of Uruguayan defenders, Jose Maria Gimenez and Emiliano Velazquez. Velazquez is set to return to Getafe on loan after spending the 2015-16 season with Atlético.

Busy summer for Atletico

With the loss of Mario Mandžukić to Juventus in July, Atlético may be making a move here for an eventual replacement and potential long-term star striker. The biggest deal for the club's attacking force this summer window, however, has been agreeing terms for a new contract with stellar French forward Antoine Griezmann.

The addition of Jackson Martínez from FC Porto is also fantastic business for the capital club. With Griezmann and Martínez up front for the next few seasons, Atlético will boast one of the most impressive forward lines in Europe.

Atlético have also made efforts to strengthen their back line, reacquiring Filipe Luis from EPL club Chelsea and signing Stefan Savić on transfer from Serie A club Fiorentina
