18:30 - Hi everyone I am Danial Kennedy and welcome to VAVEL's live text commentaty of tonight's El Clasico between Barcelona and Real Madrid

Their previous meeting was one to remember as goals from Suarez, Neymar and Iniesta gave them the 4-0 win in Madrid’s backyard and was one of the final nails in Rafael Benitez’s coffin.

The form and statistics stand in the favour of the home side, as they have four wins in their last six meetings in all competitions against the Galaticos and will be looking to make it five in seven on Saturday.

Sergio Ramos is expected to start despite pulling out of the Spain squad with a back problem. Benzema and Bale, who trained in Spain during the international break, are expected to be included alongside Ronaldo.

The big decision from Zidane is the expected start of Casemiro ahead of Isco and James Rodriguez, who have failed to impress under the Frenchman.

Andreas Iniesta is expected to start after not featuring for Spain during the international week after a muscular problem but Enrique will have to assess the fitness of Luis Suarez, Neymar, Lionel Messi and Dani Alves who all travelled back from South America.

A big blow for the home side could be the potential loss of Jeremy Mathieu for the remainder of the season as he suffered a serious knee injury while on international duty with France, but Gerard Pique and Javier Mascherano are once again fit to feature.

Like their opponents they are on a hot streak with four consecutive victories, defeating Levante, Celta Vigo and Las Palmas, before goals from Karim Benzema, Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale and Jese Rodriguez gave them a convincing 4-0 win over Sevilla last time out.

A win over Wolfsburg in the week would send them on the right path for their 11th European title, which will go far to help heal the wounds of their league failures this season with their last domestic triumph coming back in the 2007-08 season. Madrid fans will want to finish above their bitter rivals Atletico and with just one place and one point separating them, it is a realistic opportunity.

Madrid have increasingly improved since the arrival of Zinedine Zidane at the Bernabeu hot seat but it seems that the only realistic saving grace in their season will be the Champions League.

It could prove to be a huge few days for the Catalan giants with Atletico Madrid midweek in the Champions League quarter-finals. They will be looking to start off the tough run with a win.

Enrique’s side still remain on an astounding unbeaten run which was extended to 39 the last time out in what would be disappointing circumstances, after Ivan Rakitic and Neymar had given them a 2-0 lead over Villarreal. However a goal from Cedric Bakambu and strike into his own net by Jeremy Mathieu’s shared the spoils.

They look well on course to do so and in style, with the coveted treble still a very realistic opportunity as they currently stand 10 points clear of their Madrid rivals. With eight games remaining ahead of this clash, three points could all but end Madrid’s title chances.

Luis Enrique’s side look well on course for yet another La Liga crown and are looking for a perfect tribute to club icon Johan Cryuff with the defeat of their bitter rivals.

The Nou Camp is set to be an emotional hot bed on Saturday night as Barcelona host bitter rivals Real Madrid in the 231st El Clasico.
