The eyes of boxing fans all over the world will be firmly fixed on the Bell Centre, Montreal on Saturday as Sergey Kovalev defends his WBA Super, IBF and WBO light-heavyweight titles on the line against Jean Pascal.

Kovalev is 26-0-1 (23 KO) and this will be his sixth world title fight. Kovalev won the WBA and IBF titles in his last fight when he beat the legendary Bernard Hopkins by unanimous decision in Atlantic City back in November and this will be his first defence of those belts. That fight with Hopkins was the first time Kovalev had gone twelve rounds in his career with his other two decision victories coming in six and eight rounds earlier in his career. Krusher's best known victim in the UK was Nathan Cleverly, whom he beat by 4th round TKO in August 2013.

Jean Pascal comes into the fight with a record of 29 wins, 2 defeats and 1 draw. Pascal's last fight was stopped in the second round and ruled a no contest when Roberto Feliciano Bolonti was hit by a punch from Pascal when the referee had asked the fighters to break which resulted in the Argentinian leaving the ring on a stretcher. Pascal will be best remembered on these shores for an absolute classic he had with Carl Froch back in his super middleweight days. Froch won on points but Pascal showed the world how tough he was in taking and dishing out shot great shots.

On the undercard there is a heavyweight clash between Steve Cunningham (28-6-0) and Vyacheslav Glazkov (19-0-1). Cunningham comes into the fight on a run of three victories since being knocked out by Tyson Fury in April 2013 but Glazkov will be expected to pick up his twentieth win as he attempts to confirm his place amongst the top heavyweights in the world.

Vasiliy Lepikhin (17-0-0) will be looking to extend his unbeaten record when he takes on Isaac Chilemba (23-2-2). Chilemba fought Liverpool's Tony Bellew twice in 2013, drawing the first before losing on points in the rematch.

Also on the undercard will be Dierry Jean (27-1-0), Nadjib Mohammedi (36-3-0) and Dmitry Mikhaylenko (18-0-0) who will be looking for victories that could see them move towards title shots in the future.

The main card starts around 1.30am UK time and although it will be a late night it promises to be full of action as some of the worlds hardest hitters go head to head.
