Adrien Broner will meet Shawn Porter in a "catchweight" bout on June 20th in the MGM Grand, Las Vegas.

Broner, who is a three weight champion, will take on Porter at a weight limit under the usual welterweight mark of 147 lbs with the catchweight expected to be either 144 or 145 lbs. Broner is a former welterweight champion but his only career loss came at 147 lbs when he was defeated by Marcos Maidana in December 2013 and many boxing observers believe he is at his best in the junior welterweight division. Broner who has also won titles at super featherweight and lightweight comes into the bout having won his last three fights in a row.

Porter is another former welterweight champion but lost the IBF version of the title last summer when he was beaten by Britain's Kell Brook. Porter has fought just once since that loss to Brook, a fifth round knock out win over Erick Bone in March this year. Porter's first career bout was at light heavyweight so it will be interesting to see if he has any trouble making weight as he has only came in at 144 lbs once in his career (in a 2011 points win over Anges Adjaho).

Many boxing fans are split on how they see this fight going but with both men being young, former world champions the best plan might be to just sit back and enjoy what looks like being an excellent fight.
