Music speaks to our hearts

The evolution of music is undoubtedly tied to the history of the human being. From the beginning of time, the human species has developed the ability of perceive music and harmonic rhythms. At first, music was created by, for example, the simple and elemental sound of clashing bones together. After that, the human being invented new instruments for performing different sounds. The main objective of this purpose was provoking intenser and profounder emotional reactions.

Taking into account the previous arguments, some experts have advised of the importance of giving an appropriate musical education since early childhood. They have found connections between the regular exposure to music and the stimulation of other abilities; specially with mathematical aptitudes. For instance, the importance of the type of music you hear is not as important as the main fact of feeling familiar with it. However, classical music has a significant role to play, because each type of music comes from it.

Shakespeare said a long time ago that music is the “food of love”. Life would be poor without love and love would be poor without music. Music stimulates passion and compassion: it speaks to our heart. Music is capable of make a person feel like flying on the wings of happiness or envolved by the most disheartening darkness. Obviously, music has to take a more decisive part in our educational system given that school failure devastates our youth. Perhaps giving a different a slant could improve the decadent situation that the youth is living nowadays.
