Aberdeenshire votes "No"

Aberdeenshire has voted for Scotland to remain in the United Kingdom.

In one of the strongest unionist constituencies, voters chose overwhelmingly to reject the chance of independence.

Constituents voted in favour of remaining part of the UK with a total of 108,600 votes.

The Yes campaign garnered just 71,337 to continue a dreadful night at the polls.

Better Together now only need in the region of 50,000 votes to claim victory in the referendum.
