Scotland's capital city, Edinburgh, has overwhelmingly voted against independence, with 61% of its voters crossing "No" on the ballot. 194,638 people voted for the "Better Together" campaign, while 123,927 voted "Yes".

Despite its huge populace, the Alistair Darling's constituency had an impressive turn out, with 84.3% of the registered electorate voting in the 2014.

The result in Edinburgh all but ensures a "Better Together" campaign.
