Argentina are the second nation to have announced their full squad for the upcoming Rugby World Cup.

Head coach Daniel Hourcade has gone with 17 forwards and 14 backs in his squad, who begin their campaign against New Zealand at Wembley Stadium on Sunday 20 September

After recently winning 37-25 in Durban against South Africa in the recent Rugby Championship, the Pumas will head to England full of confidence that they can again make a huge mark on the competition.

Five English-based players in Hourcade's squad

Amongst the 31 players named, there are five who ply their trade in the Aviva Premiership.

In the back division, the trio of Bath's Horacio Agulla, Saracens' Marcelo Bosch and Newcastle's Juan Pablo Socino will look to follow up their excellent club form with a fine World Cup showing.

Whilst in the forwards, Leicester's star prop Marcos Ayerza will pack down alongside Gloucester's new signing Mariano Galarza.

Pool C awaits for Pumas

Following their opening match against the tournament favourite All Blacks, Argentina then head to Gloucester to take on Georgia at Kingsholm

The third match of the group stage looks to be the most important for Argentina, when they face Tonga at the Leicester City Stadium, in what looks to be a shoot-out for second spot in the pool, before finishing up against Namibia at the same venue.

Head coach Hourcade was extremely pleased with the strength of his squad, saying that it gave him, "the possibility of having two teams."
