Namibia have unveiled their squad for the 2015 Rugby World Cup, with Saracens flanker Jacques Burger selected to skipper the side after another stellar season in the Aviva Premiership

Burger, who is well known to English fans after his stand-out performances for the London-club, will lead a side who have an average age of just 26. 

There are 17 World Cup rookies in the squad, with head coach Phil Davies selecting three players under the age of 21. 

As well as Burger, other European-based players include Exeter Chiefs full-back Chrysander Botha, number-eight PJ van Lill of Dax and the lone fly-half in the squad, Thenus Kotze who plys his trade for Bourge-en-Bresse

Africans look long shot for qualification

Drawn alongside the best team in the world, as well as perenial quarter-finalists Argentina, Namibia will be up against it to qualify from Pool C.

The Namibians begin against the All Blacks in London, before heading to Sandy Park in Exeter where they will take on Tonga on September 29.

Davies' side will then remain in Exeter, where they will have a week to prepare for the most winnable game they face, when they take on Georgia on October 7.

They then have a quick turnaround, when they face Argentina in Leicester, just four days after their match against the Georgians.
