Ireland made it 10 points from 10, with their second win of the 2015 Rugby World Cup, this one a 44-10 victory against Romania at Wembley

There are tougher matches to come in the pool stage for Joe Schmidt's men, but so far everything has gone perfectly for the Emerald Isle

The predominantely Irish crowd of 89,267 at England's national football stadium set a new record for the highest Rugby World Cup attendance.

Irish back three looks sharp

Each of Ireland's wingers - Tommy Bowe and Keith Earls - scored in either half, and look in prime form ahead of the bigger matches to come in Pool D.

The pair of them looked confident with their finishing, and posses the speed which will scare opposition defences.

For Bowe, the Ulsterman, it still remains to be seen whether he will be utilised in the first XV, after losing his spot in the World Cup opener to another in-form winger, Dave Kearney

As well as the wingers, Ireland's two full-backs are also in prime form at the right time.

Simon Zebo started the game and looked electric, only fractionally having a try ruled out in the first half after a blistering break for stepping on the sideline.

Regular starting full-back Rob Kearney lasted less than ten minutes on the field after picking up a worrying injury, but he joined Earls and Bowe on the scoresheet after a fine team move.

Romanians show promise

This World Cup has seen a massive improvement from the Tier 2 nations, who are holding their own against their higher ranked opponents.

Romania have now played France and Ireland over a five-day span, and have put up an admirable fight in each game.

After some sterling defence lead by captain Mihai Macovei, the Eastern Europeans finally got the rewards their performance deserved, when veteran Ovidiu Tonita crashed over under the posts in the 78th minute.

A suggestion that Georgia and Romania are future candidates to join a revamped Six Nations Championship certainly doesn't seem as ludicrous as it would have only a week ago.
