A first choice New Zealand side made hard work of putting away a resolute Georgian outfit on Friday evening at the 2015 Rugby World Cup.

With the Eastern Europeans resting a number of their usual starters ahead of a crucial match against Namibia at Sandy Park, the All Blacks were expected to put up a huge score.

New Zealand though, scored just three tries in the final hour of the game, with a huge number of errors sweeping across their performance from knock-on's, to lineout inaccuracies and errant kicks.

Ultimately, a bonus point victory was picked up by Steve Hansen's men against a hard-hitting opponent, and the Kiwis have moved on to three wins from three ahead of their final pool match against Tonga.

Naholo completes remarkable comeback

After fracturing his fibula ten weeks ago, the sight of Waisake Naholo in an All Black jersey at this World Cup is astonishing.

The Highlanders winger was a star in the 2015 Super Rugby season, which saw him go from practically unheard of, to All Black star overnight.

After being named in the starting lineup earlier in the week, not even in his wildest of dreams could the Fijian-born star have imagined the early impact he would have in his return to the field.

Off a solid set piece, Naholo was sent through a gap in the Georgian defence before breaking through the final two tackles to score the opening try after only 73 seconds.

The Kiwi lead did not last long though, with the biggest cheer of the evening greeting Beka Tsiklauri's try after a kick through following a Naholo knock-on to level the game at seven-apiece after six minutes.

Savea keeps up impressive scoring record

The fast start to the game continued, with New Zealand crossing for a further three tries in the opening quarter of the game to confirm their bonus point.

Juilan Savea scored tries two and three, with Dane Coles adding the fourth, all of which were out wide, leading to missed conversions from Dan Carter

That was it in terms of first half points though as the resolute Georgians held out with some epic defence, led by skipper Mamuka Gorgodze who was named man-of-the-match - much to his surprise - despite leaving the field in the 51st minute.

Kieran Read crashed over under the posts for his first try of the competition, before Savea and Malakai Fekitoa added late scores to add some gloss to the scoreline.

Savea's hat-trick try extended his record to a ludicrous 35 tries in 38 Test matches, with the Hurricanes star destined to have a big say in the outcome of this World Cup over the next few weeks.
