After losing against Japan in their first match, the Springboks were in turmoil, and looked like a potential pool stage casualty.

Since that result, they have turned it around perfectly, dismantling Samoa before outlasting Scotland at St. James' Park

Heyneke Meyer's men now face an under-strengthed USA side, who have made a number of changes ahead of their last fixture against Japan

A win will confirm South Africa's spot at the top of Pool B, whilst the Americans are still looking for their first win of the 2015 Rugby World Cup.

Mvovo and Malherbe only alterations to settled side

The Springboks have made just two changes to their starting lineup from the win over Scotland, with Lwazi Mvovo and Frans Malherbe coming in for JP Pietersen and Jannie du Plessis

Fourie du Preez skippers the side again in the absence of Victor Matfield, who is again missing from the matchday 23.

Rudy Paige and Morne Steyn could each make their tournament debuts if they come on from the bench, with Willem Alberts again included amongst the replacements and given the opportunity to prove his fitness.

Eben Etzebeth and Lodewyk de Jager continue their exciting second-row partnership, with Damian de Allende and Jesse Kriel chosen as the starting centres for the second straight game.

Tolkin changes 12 for Olympic Stadium clash

Phil Thiel, Blaine Scully and first-time captain Samu Manoa are the only three Americans retained from their last clash against Scotland.

The trio of Matthew Trouville, Niku Kruger and Zach Test will be making their World Cup debuts on Wednesday, with Joe Taufetee given the opportunity to do likewise if he joins the game from the bench.

There are a number of USA 7's stars involved in the matchday squad, including flanker Danny Barrett and centre Folau Niua
