Yui Kamiji and Jordanne Whiley seeded 1, were playing the final of the womens wheelchair doubles today against the number 2 seeds from The Netherlands Jiske Griffioen & Aniek van Koot.  The number 2 seeds got off to an early start and were soon up on the Number 1 seeds.  In fact it looked all one way traffic as they took the first set 2-6.

Whiley & Kamiji would not give up though and fought back impressively to break twice on their way to levelling the match at one set all, when they won the second set 6-2.

This took us to an exciting prospect of a final set showdown, could this end with a high for the British, who after the highs of Wimbledon 2013, and the lows when Andy Murray fell in the QF's, needed something to cheer about.

Whiley & Kamiji played extremely well, and everything was going on serve until 5-5.  At this point the top seeds took their chance and broke, meaning they just had to hold onto their own serve to win the title, could there be some British sucess after all this year?  Yes! they served it out and won the title.  Well done ladies.
