Two trophies, ten wins, no defeats, 2,250 ranking points and they're set to qualify for the ATP World Tour Finals. What an incredible few weeks it has been for Jack Sock and Vasek Pospisil. Just over a month ago they entered into the Wimbledon doubles together, despite injury concerns over Pospisil, and they haven't looked back.

Their incredible run to victory at The Championships saw them shoot straight to no. 10 in the ATP doubles team 'Race to London' rankings. "This year, Vasek and I - since that result - we've set aside a goal of trying to make the year-end championships," said Sock, before their opening match in Atlanta. "I think if we can just keep playing solid and winning matches the weeks that we can play together, then I think we have a good shot of making it." The duo, dubbed 'Pospisock', have entered the Toronto and Cincinnati Masters 1000 in the lead up to the US Open.

Their opponents weren't exactly in hugely familiar doubles territory either. Steve Johnson and Sam Querrey were in their first doubles final together, Johnson having never reached one before. The duo had both gone out early in the singles, Querrey beating Johnson when they were drawn to face each other in the 1st round.

The opening set played out as many would've expected, Pospisil and Sock outplaying their opponents on serve, while taking their chances on their opponents' 2nd serves. Johnson/Querrey improved as the second set went on, however fell a break down to trail 5-2. They came back with a bang however, claiming five consecutive games to take the set 7-5.

It was time for a match tiebreaker to decide the match. Good serving paid dividends again as Pospisil and Sock won every point on their serve, while Querrey and Johnson only faltered after they faulted. Pospisil and Sock took the match, 6-3, 5-7, 10-5!
