I've been Amee Ruszkai and stayed tuned for my follow-up report of the match this afternoon.

That's it! Thank you for joining me today for the live commentary of Murray's victory over Pospisil on Centre Court in the quarter-finals of Wimbledon 2015.

Murray will play Roger Federer in the semi-finals after the Swiss overcame Gilles Simon earlier today, 6-3 7-5 6-2.

Really solid performance by the Brit. Pospisil could've easily taken a set today given how well he played, but Murray dealt with him well and kept him from preventing any serious threats.

Game, set and match Murray! Great play by Pospisil to keep going right until the end but his opponent was just too good today. 6-4 7-5 6-4.

And another match point for Murray after a poor return by his opponent.

Great play and persistence by Pospisil saves the match point.

Now Murray has a set and match point.

Incredibly powerful first serve denies the Canadian the chance to get back into the encounter though as the game goes to deuce.

First break point of the day for Pospisil comes as Murray is serving for the match.

And he takes it! Pospisil fails to get his first serve in under pressure and Murray punishes him for it. He now leads 5-4 and will serve for the match.

Break point for Murray.

Chance for Murray, with him 30-0 up as Pospisil serves. The Canadian is given another time warning.

Exquisite play from the Brit sees the scores levelled again in this set at 4-4.

The Canadian holds well again under pressure. 4-3.

On Murray's second break point, Pospisil produces an outstanding volley to take the game to deuce.

Having said that, Murray continues to come close to breaking but a great first serve from Pospisil denies him the opportunity to do so for now.

Becoming a much tighter set than anticipated during Pospisil's first few games. 3-3 with the Canadian serving.

Pospisil holds again, much better from the Canadian. 3-2.

Another comfortable service game for the Brit who levels the scores at 2-2 in this third set. Popisil serves now looking for a more convincing hold as Murray continues to look the more likely to break.

Pospisil holds. Murray serving now as he trails 2-1.

Marvellous first serve by the Canadian though takes the game to deuce. He's struggling to hold so far in this set.

Another break point for Murray. It's a long rally again that Pospisil can't keep up with.

Murray matches him though as the set stays on serve at 1-1.

Good hold by the Canadian despite the pressure from his opponent. 1-0.

Both are saved by Pospisil though and the game goes to deuce.

Incredible athleticism gives Murray two break points in the first game of this third set.

Pospisil takes a short toilet break, perhaps to collect his thoughts, and is now serving to start the third set.

Pospisil needs a plan B. Murray is dominating the rallies and getting used to these shorter points now too, which the Canadian was initially winning more of.

Pospisil returns Murray's serve into the net and the Brit takes the set 7-5. He now leads two sets to love.

Enthralling exchange ends with a great overhead by Murray giving him a set point.

Murray breaks! Pospisil dives to keep in the point but can't. Murray is serving for a two set lead.

Time warning for Pospisil following by great play by Murray that allows him to see a break point.

Longest rally of day sees Murray come out on top after 24 strokes. Pospisil quickly calms the pressure though with a powerful ace.

And another hold. Murray wins his service game to love in 68 seconds as we approach a tiebreak. 5-5.

Another hold. Murray now serves to stay in the set. 5-4.

Murray holds well despite pressure from Pospisil. Still awaiting our first break of this second set. 4-4.

The match can now get back underway with no more weather interruptions!

Delay has been much longer than expected but the players have now returned to the court with the roof closed.

Weather forecast saying the rain will only last about 10 minutes, however.

Rain is again coming down. Players leave the court and the covers are on. Doesn't look like the roof will be closing, for whatever reason.

Another half chance goes by as Murray gets 30 on the board in Pospisil's serve but cannot capitalise. 4-3, on serve still in this second set.

Murray holds despite a good game by Pospisil. 3-3.

Great turnaround by Pospisil to win the game with four points in a row. 3-2.

Potential opportunity here for Murray. Leads 30-0 on Pospisil's serve.

Murray wins his service game, again the rallies going in his favour. 2-2.

Some of the tennis Pospisil is producing is absolutely wonderful. Holds serve again to take a 2-1 lead. That speculated fatigue is yet to appear.

Both players' athleticism is really producing some incredible points today on Centre Court. Another one in this game, with Pospisil the winner, but Murray holds despite his opponent getting 30 on the board. 1-1.

Great start to the second set from Pospisil as he wins the opening game to love on serve. 1-0.

Solid first set from MurrayPospisil's positive play and great athleticism has helped him cause problems, albeit none that Murray cannot handle.

He takes this one and takes the first set 6-4.

Unforced error from Murray takes the game to deuce but a good first serve gives him his third set point.

Pospisil's net play has been spectacular. Certainly learned a lot from playing doubles. Saves the first set point.

Incredible exchange gives Murray two set points just as Pospisil looked to be posing problems.

Very composed service game from the Canadian as he takes it to love. Murray is serving for the set now though. 5-4.

Another comfortable hold for the server as Murray extends his lead to 5-3 with a good game. Pospisil serving to stay in the set now.

Comfortable hold for Pospisil. 4-3.

After a shaky start to the game, Murray holds and keeps his lead. 4-2.

Pospisil misses a glorious chance for three break points as he hits an overhead wide. Return on Murray's second serve is long and now it's 30-30.

Good chance for Pospisil. Double fault from Murray and a poor shot into the net puts him 30-0 up on the Brit's serve.

Good hold by Pospisil despite Murray getting into the game well. The Brit now leads 3-2.

Pospisil is above to serve now and get play back underway. He trails 3-1 in this first set.

Players are warming up again on court.

The players are back on court now. Murray unlikely to be affected massively by the break given his experience, but it will have helped Pospisil regroup having been broken just before the rain interrupted play.

Covers are coming off and play is set to resume shortly.

Forecast will be looked at but it is coming down rather heavily in SW19 right now. Unclear at the moment whether or not the roof will be closed.

Rain is coming down now and the covers go onto the court. Players go inside.

Murray looked on course for a love service game, Pospisil pulls back two points but the Brit holds well. Leads 3-1.

Interesting comparison of Karlovic's and Pospisil's serves shows that the Croat's height allowed him to generate an average of around 40cm more height on the bounce. Pospisil's serve much easier for Murray in comparison given the height at which he receives it.

He breaks! Murray leads 2-1, nine minutes played. Great start for the Brit.

Marvellous exchange of drop shots ends with a break point for Murray.

Possible chance here for Murray to break. Great net play and a solid forehand to win a rally puts his 30-15 up on Pospisil's serve.

Murray's own serve works well too though as he gets three of four in first time and also manages a love service game. 1-1.

Looks like the Canadian can keep up with the Brit on these rallies. Will be interesting to see whether or not fatigue comes into play later in the match to affect this.

Some strong serving and some lovely volleys give Pospisil the first game, with a winner on a rally as well. Love service game. 1-0.

Will be intriguing to see how Pospisil deals with the occasion too. He is serving the first game of the day now.

Murray had plenty of practice in the last round against a good serve playing Karlovic so it will be interesting to see what Pospisil does if his serve does not have a great effect today.

Pospisil's strength is his serve, yet one of Murray's biggest strengths is his return. Sure to be an enthralling match as a result.

Pospisil wins the toss and elects to serve.

The players come out on court to a warm reception and are about to begin warming up.

All the stars are awaiting the arrival of Murray and Pospisil on Centre Court. David Beckham and of course Prince William and Kate Middleton just a few of those watching on. Players will be on court shortly.

Murray will head into the match hoping to get some sort of revenge for his compatriot, Ward, whilst Pospisil will be hoping to cause his third upset of the tournament and turn the home fans on him once more at Wimbledon 2015.

Murray and Pospisil have played each other a total of just three times in their careers, with all of those coming in the last year. As aforementioned, these were all played on hard court, with Murray the winner each time in straight sets. Their latest meeting came in February of this year as they met in round two of the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament, the Brit winning 6-3 7-5.

Pospisil admitted that he is "not worried about" the hostile crowd that awaits him either as things like that don't "really faze [him] too much" and he likes "playing in front of big crowds in general," regardless of whether "they are against [him] or cheering for [him]."

Speaking about Murray as an opponent, Pospisil acknowledged that the match will "obviously [be] a tough one" as the world number three has had "great results [at Wimbledon] over the years," and because he's "one of the big four." However, the Canadian believes that he is "serving well" and "playing well" and aims to go out on Centre Court today to "play to the best of his abilities."

Pospisil spoke about how he feels that he is "stepping up [his] game" too and that he is "more ambitious than ever right now," citing certain new mental practices as reasons for his improvement.

Pospisil responded to Murray's suggestion of the Canadian potentially experiencing fatigue in his own press conference following victory over Troicki, saying that whilst he has "played a lot of tennis," a "one day recovery is a lot" and thus he will be ready to "come out strong [today] and take [the match] to him."

He also said that his shoulder "feels better" after a few days rest following it's occurrence as a problem against Seppi in round three. Though Murray admitted that he "would have liked to have served a little bit bigger" and "a little bit harder" against Karlovic, he is "still conscious of the problem," but told the media that it "feels better than it did three, four days ago, which is positive."

As for how Murray feels himself, he said he is "feel[ing] pretty fresh" after the Karlovic match as, "although [it] was quite long," he insists that it was "not as physical" as others because "the rallies aren't particularly long."

Still, the Brit has stressed that he will not "bank on that being the case." He will look to use Pospisil's fatigue "to [his] advantage" if it is apparent, but is not entering the match expecting an easy run in against a tired opponent.

Murray is also aware that Pospisil "can play well on [grass]", with him having "had a good run" at Wimbledon this year and also winning the doubles last year. However, he knows Pospisil has played "a lot of tennis" so far at Wimbledon 2015, which can be "a positive for him in some ways," but Murray is likely to be hoping that the possibility of his opponent "maybe [being] a little bit fatigued" will be the case and work in his favour.

One of the main reasons for this is the "different surface." The Brit is aware that he has played his next opponent "three times on the hard courts," with "a couple of them" even being "indoors," so playing him "on grass" will be very different.

Speaking after this win and ahead of his clash with Pospisil, Murray acknowledged that whilst he has played Pospisil three times in the last 10 months, their match today will be far different than the others.

Murray's marvellous return came in handy in the match and was a key factor as he steered himself to victory in just four sets, the final score reading 7-6 6-4 5-7 6-4 in a truly enthralling encounter.

The world number three was back to showcasing his good side in round four though as he came up against big server and 23rd seed Ivo Karlovic, who had already beaten the likes of Alexandr Dologpolov and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the tournament so far.

Murray then brought the trainer on himself to inspect and help a shoulder problem, before going on to win the fourth set, also 6-1, and take the match, with the trainer's mysterious magic the big headline in an encounter that really showed the two sides of Britain's best hope of a Wimbledon winner this year.

Two sets down, Seppi brought the trainer on to treat his knee area during a medical time out, and this pause and time to concentrate worked wonders as the Italian suddenly brushed Murray aside in set number three, winning it 6-1.

These same levels of incredible performance were displayed in round three as well, with Murray racing into a two set lead against 25th seed Andreas Seppi in outstanding time, however, he would endure a serious blip and drop his first set of the tournament shortly afterwards.

The British number one was simply ruthless in his first two rounds of the tournament, dispatching Mikhail Kukushkin of Kazakhstan and Dutchman Robin Haase with relative ease, both matches won in straight sets.

Murray will be Pospisil's hardest challenge yet though, the third seed coming into the match in great form, arguably the best form he's produced since he won the Championships in 2013, and with a very vocal home crowd behind him.

Still, by eliminating the likes of Troicki, Fognini and the inspired Ward, Pospisil has certainly shown his quality and will be a tough test for Murray today.

Pospisil has been a touch lucky in his run though, with David Ferrer dropping out of the tournament before it had even begun and Rafael Nadal being knocked out by Dustin Brown - both Spaniards being players the Canadian would have had to face, surely, otherwise.

Challenges continued to come for the world number 56 and in the fourth round he faced 22nd seed Viktor Troicki, a man who reached the semi-finals at Queens prior to Wimbledon 2015. Five sets were again required to separate Pospisil and his opponent, and the Canadian came from two sets down this time to continue his best ever run in SW19.

The third round required Pospisil to defeat British wildcard James Ward, who broke into the top 100 with his second round victory over Jiri Vesely. On Court Number One, the Canadian faced a very hostile crowd but came through in dramatic fashion, winning the fifth set 8-6 to propel himself into the last 16.

Round two was then shorter in terms of sets, but tougher in terms of the opponent as Pospisil beat 30th seed Fabio Fognini 6-3 6-4 1-6 6-3 to cause a real upset in the bottom half of the draw.

Round one seemed straight-forward for Pospisil as he faced Vincent Millot, but the French qualifier really made him work for the victory as the match went all the way to five sets, with three of these decided on a tiebreak.

Pospisil has been a huge surprise package at this year's finals, disposing of two seeds and a home favourite on his way to the last eight, with the latter an achievement he will want to repeat as he faces Murray today.
