Earlier on today, Eddie Hearn and Matchroom Boxing announced a big card of British boxing to take place June 26th at Liverpool's Echo Arena. The fight has four Liverpudlians heading the card; David Price and Tony Bellew, as well as undefeated duo, Callum Smith and Rocky Fielding.

David Price's opponent for the Heavyweight bout is still TBC, whoever Price's opponent is, he'll personally be hoping for a better night than when he last fought in his hometown, where he lost two in a row to Tony Thompson. However, Price seems focused on righting that, talking to Matchroom Boxing, "I’m buzzing to be back in Liverpool and back fighting at the Echo Arena. It’s been longer than I had anticipated but it will be well worth the wait to be part of such a big night of boxing for the city." Hopefully it will be an opponent of some quality, as, otherwise this one may fail to draw as much excitement as those on the undercard.

Tony Bellew's opponent is also TBC, but, it's expected to be an opponent good enough to get Bellew properly warmed up for his, yet to be officially confirmed, IBF Cruiserweight title shot against Cuban, Yoan Hernandez, whose last loss came way back in 2008. Although he has been out of the ring for over half a year, Bellew is still feeling optimistic of clinching titles in the division, talking to Matchroom Boxing: “There are some tough, tough fighters with belts in the division, but I believe that I can beat them and get my hands on their titles.”

Callum Smith, Paul Smith's brother, will be fighting Christopher Rebrasse for the WBC Silver Super Middlweight Title, with 12 KO's from his 16-0 record, you wouldn't bet against the 25-year-old really pushing on in this fight and proving his worth. Smith impressed in his last bout, with a first round TKO but his opponent was of no real mettle - so hopefully, Rebrasse can provide a tougher test for the young man, who is expecting, just that. Talking to Matchroom Boxing he said: "He’s big for the weight and it’s a really competitive fight for me and it will be interesting to see what level I am at after the fight – I think it’s the perfect fight at the perfect time.”

Rocky Fielding is the last Liverpudlian on the card, who will be facing American Brian Vera. A convincing win for Fielding here could well set him up to be not so far off of a world title shot. Vera though, will be no push over, although he has lost nine times, some of the opponents he has on his record are very good fighters - so he isn't to be underestimated. Although, the edge should be with Fielding as Vera has lost his last three bouts. Fielding though remains humble, saying of Vera to Matchroom Boxing: “He has some great wins on his record and he’s tested some really big names, so for me to get a win over him on my record would be a great statement.”

A massive round of applause must also go out to Eddie Hearn and Team Sauerland promotions, as 96p of every ticket will be given to the Hillsborough Family Support Charity. A fantastic gesture for a card being held in Liverpool with four local boys fighting on the night.
