Sporting Clube de Portugal, known as Sporting, Sporting CP or Sporting Lisboa, is a sports club founded in Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, on June 1, 1906. It plays its matches at the José Alvalade Stadium, which seats 50,095 people. Along with Porto and Benfica, they make up the winningest trio in Portuguese soccer. Its main rivals are Benfica, against whom it plays in the Lisbon Derby, and Porto.
