Another close game was the case in Sunday's ballgame between the Arizona Diamondbacks and the San Diego Padres, as the Padres would pull off a 4-3 walk off win.

Wade Miley and Tyson Ross would both throw quaity starts in a game that wouldn't be decided until the bottom of the ninth inning. Miley would pitch seven innings, giving up three earned runs on six hits while striking out four and walking one. Ross would also pitch seven innings, giving up three runs --one earned-- on seven hits while strking out five and walking one.

The Padres would be the first team to score as Chris Denorfia would hit a RBI single in the bottom of the third. The D-backs would come right back in the top of the fourth and put a three spot. Paul Goldscmidt lead off the inning with his fifth homer on the season to deep right center field.Two outs later, Cody Ross would reach on a fielding error by shortstop Everth Cabrera and Ender Inciarte would follow with a single to left field. Catcher Tuffy Gosewisch would bring both runners home on a two run single. The Padres would tie the game in the bottom half of the inning as Rene Rvera would lace a two run double down the left field line.

Diamondbacks manager Kirk Gibson would bring in left handed reliever Oliver Perez to pitch the bottom of the ninth and it would prove to be the wrong decision. Cameron Maybin would lead off the inning by grounding out and originally be called out at first base but Padres manager Bud Black would challenge the play and get it overturned. Will Venable would strike out looking and Rene Rivera would double afterwards putting Maybin on third base. Yonder Alonso would groundout to Paul Goldschmidt and Maybin would beat the throw home scoring the game winning run.

The Diamondbacks head to Milwaukee to play the 21-11 Brewers in a three game series. Mike Bolsinger will face Matt Garza who will make the start despite leaving his last outing early against the Cardinals with a bruised thumb. As for San Diego, they stay at Petco Park and host the Kansas City Royals. Yordano Ventura will take the mound for Kansas City and face the Padres' Eric Stults.
