The Arizona Diamondbacks finished off a very successful road trip with a 5-1 win over the Chicago White Sox on Mother's Day Sunday. The series win was Arizona's third straight, in which the D-backs had a 6-3 record over the nine game road trip.

The D-backs were quick to get on the board once again, as Gerardo Parra tripled to leadoff the game and Martin Prado hit a RBI single the next at bat. Parra would continue his hot offense by hitting a two run homer in the fifth inning, that scored A.J. Pollock. The three runs were the only runs that Hector Noesi would allow during the six innings he pitched for Chicago. He gave up eight hits while walking three and striking out four.

Chase Anderson was absolutely marvelous in his MLB debut for the Diamondbacks, only giving up two hits during the 5.1 innings he pitched on Sunday. One of the hits was a home run off the bat of Moises Sierra in the bottom of the sixth inning. Before the home run, the only hit that Anderson allowed was a Jose Abreu single in the second inning. Anderson got his first major league with the following line: 5.1 innings pitched, one earned run, two hits, one walk, six strikeouts.

The D-backs managed to get two insurance runs in the top of the ninth, coming from a Miguel Montero two run homer off Frank Francisco.

The Diamondbacks head home looking to continue their recent success as they start a six game home stand and a three game series against the Washington Nationals starting Monday. Jordan Zimmerman will take the mound for Washington and Josh Collmenter will do the honors for the D-backs. As for the White Sox, they head to the Bay area to take on the Oakland Athletics. John Danks will start for Chicago and Jesse Chavez will pitch for Oakland.
