Chase Anderson was chased for his fourth straight loss in Wednesday's ballgame as the Arizona Diamondbacks lost again to the Pittsburgh Pirates by the score of 5-1.

Anderson only lasted 3 2/3 innings before being removed from the game, giving up three earned runs on eight hits in that time. Starling Marte brought in the first run with his RBI groundout in the first inning.

Gregory Polanco followed up his two RBI ninth inning on Tuesday with a two run homer in the second inning of Wednesday's game to put Pittsburgh up 3-0.

The D-backs managed just the one run off of Charlie Morton and the Pirates with Aaron Hill's RBI single in the third.

Pittsburgh poured it on in the eighth inning, scoring two runs off Matt Stites to cement the victory. Starling Marte hit a RBI double and Andrew McCutchen hit a RBI single. McCutchen actually left the game following the inning, after fouling a ball of his ankle during his at bat.

The D-backs will hope that Brandon McCarthy can break his trend of only beating the Padres thus far this season in the series finale on Thursday. Vance Worley has been lights out in his three starts for the Pirates this season and will look to keep it going against the struggling D-backs.
