Marcell Ozuna had a game winning hit against the D-backs earlier this season and he did it again on Thursday. But this time it was a walkoff double in his own ballpark, giving the Marlins the 5-4 win in the series opener.

Arizona had the game in the bag, as they were up 4-3 going into the eighth inning but their bullpen faltered once again. Brad Ziegler gave up a run in the eighth inning on a Adeiny Hechavarria RBI single. Hechavarria also had a RBI triple in the sixth inning to cut the lead to two. Marcell Ozuna's game winning hit in the tenth came against Bradin Hagens, who was just called up on Thursday in place of Andrew Chafin.

The D-backs wasted another quality start from their starting rotation, this time Chase Anderson was the adversary. Anderson was hit around for nine hits, but only gave up three runs in six innings. Arizona also wasted a two RBI day from slugger Mark Trumbo, who had two RBI singles.

Trevor Cahill and Brad Hand are the starters for Friday's game.
