The 26-year old left-handed starter Brett Anderson who pitched this season for the Colorado Rockies, albeit not for very long, had his 2015 option declined by the Rockies, according to Yahoo's Jeff Passan.

Anderson only made eight starts due to a fractured finger and back surgery in August, but he did pitch well in short time. He was 1-3 with a 2.91 ERA with the Rockies. It can be assumed that the Rockies let Anderson head to costless agency due to his extensive injury history. He had Tommy John surgery and also an oblique strain while he pitched with the Oakland Athletics from 2009-2013.

Anderson has only pitched 30 starts once in his career, which occurred in his rookie season when he went 11-11 with Oakland and had 150 punchouts. Despite only toting a 27-32 career record, Anderson's ERA does stand at a respectable 3.73 over six seasons of work. He will definitely get looked at by many teams and he should be a dependable starter if he can move past his injury history. He is still young with plenty of potential.
