Hamilton and Jordan were found around 4:45 PM on Sunday inside the house. It was in Island Breeze, as the Pearland Police Department reported to the public.

A call of disturbance was what led the police to the house. Sadly, when they arrived, they found the body of Hamilton near the door and the body of Jordan in a different area of the home.

It seems as if Hamilton was shot dead attempting to escape or Hamilton was placed there by Jordan before she killed herself.

Hamilton died after getting shot twice and Jordan died from a self-inflicted gun wound. The couple's 14-month-old toddler was in the home at the time of both deaths, but was not harmed. The baby has been turned over to Child Protective Services.

According to the Brazoria County Appraisal District, the home that the two died in was owned by Jordan.

Hamilton retired in 2001 after playing 13 MLB seasons. He batted .291 with 51 home runs and 454 RBI in 1328 games for the Milwaukee Brewers, Texas Rangers, San Francisco Giants, Colorado Rockies and New York Mets. In the field, he made only 14 errors in 2771 chances (.995 fielding percentage).

After retiring, Hamilton developed a broadcasting career, starting in 2003 and sadly ending on June 21, 2015 around 4:45 PM.  Hamilton worked for NBC Sports Network until 2006 and then continued on to work in the Commissioner's Office of On-Field Operations.

In 2012, Hamilton became a color analyst for a few series of the Los Angeles Angels games, which were broadcasted nationally. In 2013, he joined MLB Network as an on-air analyst.

Hamilton reappeared as a color analyst, this time for the Brewers. He broadcasted with Joe Block when the primary color commentator, Bob Uecker, was not available.

VAVEL USA mourns the loss of Hamilton. His untimely passing has affected us all. We will remember him very well throughout the years to come.
