Mike Trout may be the new face of Major League Baseball and he displayed his talents on a national level in the 2015 MLB All Star Game at Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati, OH.

Trout, representing his Los Angeles Angels and the American League, led off the Midsummer Classic for the American League side and got the game started with a bang. Trout took the National League starting pitcher Zack Greinke deep to right field and hit a leadoff home run, the first one since Bo Jackson did it in the 1989 All-Star Game.

Trout finished the game going 1-3 with two runs scored, an RBI, a walk, and a strikeout. Most importantly, Trout was able to set the pace for the American League and get them side going early.

This is not the first time that Trout has taken home the honors of All-Star Game MVP. Last year in Minneapolis, Trout also won the MVP award. He is the first ever player to win consecutive All-Star Game MVP awards, and he is the fifth player to win MVP honors in multiple All-Star Games, the last being Cal Ripken Jr., who won the award in 1991 and 2001.

Mike Trout has also accomplished an impressive feat over the course of the last four All-Star Games. Back in 2012 when the All-Star Game was in Kansas City, Trout hit a single in his first at-bat of the game. Come 2013 when the All Star Game called New York City its home, Trout hit a double in his first at-bat. In 2014 in Minneapolis, Trout's first at-bat resulted in a triple. And this year in Cincinnati, he hit a home run in his first at-bat.

Yes, Mike Trout has hit for the cycle in his first at-bat of the last four All-Star Games.
