SEATTLE, WA -- Zack Godley won his second consecutive start since he debuted in the big leagues, as the Arizona Diamondbacks took down the Seattle Mariners to lengthen their win streak to four games.

Godley went 6.0 innings, giving up 3 runs (all earned) on 7 hits and 3 walks, striking out four and conceding two home runs. He picked up the win in this one, beating Hisashi Iwakuma and improving to 2-0 with a 2.25 ERA.

Iwakuma only went 5.2 in this one, giving up a whopping 6 runs (all earned) on 10 hits and one walk, while also striking out 5 and allowing a home run. He now is 2-2 on the season with a 5.10 ERA.

David Peralta had a big day for the D-Backs, going 3-4 with one run scored, 2 RBIs, and one walk. His two RBIs came in the first and third innings to get Arizona out to an early two-run lead.

Ender Inciarte hit a bomb of a solo home run to center in the fifth inning to put the Diamondbacks up 3-1, and the team had their biggest frame an inning later. Chris Owings hit a single that knocked in two runs and Nick Ahmed socked an RBI ground-rule double to end the inning with three more runs and a commanding 6-1 lead.

Seattle did answer back, as while their only previous run had come on a solo home run by Mike Zunino, the team scored two in the bottom half of the sixth, starting with a dinger hit by none other than Nelson Cruz. Cruz's homer was followed up by an RBI double off Brad Miller's bat that scored Seth Smith and made it 6-3.

Miller would provide the lone other RBI for Seattle, notching an RBI single in the bottom of the ninth to score Mark Trumbo.

An Ahmed sac fly and an RBI single by Inciarte closed out the runs scored by Arizona in the top of the eighth inning, leaving a decisive result on the field. Inciarte finished 2-5 with 2 RBIs and a run. Paul Goldschmidt went 2-5 and scored twice, and Jake Lamb went 2-3 and scored twice as well. Lamb also walked in the game.

On the Seattle side of things, Brad Miller was 2-3 with 2 RBIs and a walk, while Mark Trumbo had two hits and a run. The team hit two home runs, both solo, and was unable to provide enough support to negate Iwakuma's bad start.

Seattle now sits at 46-55, fourth in the AL West, while the D-Backs are third in the NL West with a record of 48-51. The two sides will meet again Wednesday at 3:40 PM EST right from Safeco Field in Seattle. The pitchers will be Felix Hernandez and Patrick Corbin.
