The San Francisco Giants have added another starting pitcher to their already dominant rotation.

Johnny Cueto has signed a deal with San Francisco, according to Buster Olney of ESPN.

According to Jon Heyman of CBS Sports, the 29-year-old right-handed pitcher will earn $130 million over six years from the Giants, who confirmed the signing. The All-Star will earn $46 million in the first two years before the player opt-out option following the 2017 season, which makes the deal a bit front loaded.

Prior to the terms being announced, it was noted that Cueto would get greater than a six-year, $126 million deal he turned down from the Arizona Diamondbacks, as Heyman reported.

Cueto will join Jeff Samardziija as new arms in the rotation for the Giants this winter. The rotation will include: Madison Bumgarner, Cueto, Samarszija, Matt Cain and Jake Peavy. The quintet will attempt to be noticed as one of the top rotations in the majors this season.

Last season, Samardzija had a down year, giving up a MLB-high 228 hits, 118 earned runs and 29 home runs over 214.0 innings pitched, which was not expected. The best season for the righty was in 2014 with a 11-13 record with a 2.99 ERA over 219.2 innings of work.

While Samardzija struggled last season, so did Cueto. The rigthy, who was signed as an amateur free agent in 2004 by the Cincinnati Reds, went 11-13 with a 3.44 ERA across 212.0 innings. Cueto has a 96-70 record over his eight-year career with the Reds (2008-2015) and Kansas City Royals (2015), while adding a career 1.181 WHIP and a 2.86 strikeout-to-walk ratio. Cueto's best season came in 2014 with the Reds. He logged went 20-9 with a 2.25 ERA in 34 games across 243.2 innings.

Over the last five seasons, Cueto boasts a 2.71 ERA over 134 games pitched, all starts. He held his own over 889.1 innings with a 1.082 WHIP, 3.41 FIP and an outstanding 3.30 strikeout-to-walk ratio.

With Matt Duffy, Brandon Crawford, Joe Panik and Brandon Belt backing Cueto in the infield, the pitcher will not have to worry about errors because the quadrant, led by Crawford, are some of the best fielders in the game. Cueto will be pitching to one of the best catchers in the game, Buster Posey. The 28-year-old catcher was the fifth selection in the 2008 MLB Draft and has proven to be worth the pick both defensively and offensively for the Giants.
