For the first time since 1885, there is Major League Baseball at Buffalo, New York, as the Toronto Blue Jays will play the majority of their home games at Sahlen Field.
Under regular circumstances, the '716' is where the minor-league team from the Blue Jays, Bisons, play, but they had their season canceled on July 1st. due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Jays already happened to play their first series of games at Western New York. The team coached by Charlie Montoyo, split a pair against the Tampa Bay Rays in their two opening games.
This place brings back some good memories for Vladimir Guerrero Jr., who played for the Bisons for two seasons. The 21 year-old did some damage while at Buffalo, as there was a point where he was hitting .367/.424/.700 with three home runs and eight RBIs during an eight-game stint in 2019.
The organization had to some some remodelations to the field, which was expected considering that is not the same being in Triple-A than playing in the show.
Despite some people calling it 'not a proper ball-park', Sahlen Field can fit up to 21,050 people, and even journalists are describing it as 'the best set up I’ve seen!'.
