Lucas Giolito News
Lucas Giolito (9-9, 3.77 ERA) will be the starting pitcher for the Chicago White Sox this afternoon, in what will be his second start since returning from the disabled list for 10 days after a tendon problem of the hamstring.
Giolito received three runs and three hits in four innings last Tuesday against the Los Angeles Angels on his return to the mound.
He is 1-0 with a 3.00 ERA in a previous start, where he pitched six innings against the Texas Rangers.

Rubber game with the White Sox.
Tony La Russa returns
White Sox manager Tony La Russa is expected to return to the bench this Sunday after serving a one-game suspension yesterday.
La Russa was suspended following an incident Thursday in which Chicago reliever Mike Wright was ruled to intentionally hit Shohei Ohtani of the Los Angeles Angels.
Wright was also suspended and suspended for three games, but is available to pitch pending his appeal.
Chicago White Sox News
The Chicago White Sox have overcome offensive inconsistency in the first two games of this weekend series on the road against the Texas Rangers, and for much of the season. Chicago will try to get back to normal this afternoon after a 2-1 loss to the Rangers last night. That game was after Chicago's 8-0 win on Friday. The White Sox (84-64) have lost three of their last four, and to clinch the AL Central they must maintain a five-game lead over the second-place Cleveland Indians.
Jordan Lyles News
The Texas Rangers (55-93) are set to counter the White Sox this afternoon with veteran right-hander Jordan Lyles (9-11, 5.20 ERA), who recently reached a 10-year Major League baseball career, a feat the Rangers congratulated him on despite the team's loss on Friday.
Rangers manager Chris Woodward praised the leadership of pitcher Jordan Lyles and hopes his working example can inspire a very young pitching staff.
The 30-year-old Lyles is 1-1 with a 3.75 ERA in four career appearances against the White Sox, including two starts. He has also shone in two starts this month, going 2-0 with a 0.64 ERA, with a single earned run allowed in 14 innings.

Texas Rangers
The Texas Rangers are not playing well at the moment and frankly their season has been very bad and mediocre.
They ended their losing streak yesterday with a win over the White Sox, giving them their second win in their last seven games. Prior to that, they had lost three straight games and four of their last five games.
Texas averages 3.88 runs per game. His .231 batting average is 29 in the entire MLB. His .294 on-base percentage is No. 30, while his .375 slugging percentage is No. 28.
Isiah Kiner-Falefa leads Texas with a .266 batting average, while Adolis Garcia leads the team with 30 homers and 81 RBIs.
Chicago White Sox
Yesterday the White Sox snapped their consecutive winning streak with a loss to the Rangers. They'll try to keep the momentum going with another win over the Rangers, giving them a spirited boost before the playoffs and their fourth win in their last seven games.
Chicago is averaging 4.99 runs per game. His .256 batting average is fifth in the MLB. His .335 on-base percentage is third, while his .421 slugging percentage is 10th.
Tim Anderson leads Chicago with a .300 batting average, while Jose Abreu leads the team with 29 home runs and 111 RBIs.
The match will be played at the Globe Life Field
Tomorrow afternoon from the home of the Rangers a new battle of the Series will be fought between the Texas Rangers and the Chicago White Sox.
Globe Life Field is a retractable roof baseball park in Arlington, Texas. Since 2020, it is the home stadium of the Texas Rangers of Major League Baseball MLB.
Globe Life and Accident Insurance Company, a subsidiary of Globe Life, owns the naming rights to the facility until 2048.The new ballpark is located across the street, south of Globe Life Park in Arlington, the former home stadium of the Rangers and very close to AT&T Stadium.
Lucas Giolito RHP
The pitching of the Chicago White Sox, unlike that of the Rangers, is among the best in the MLB. Opponents have a .227 batting average against the Chicaho White Sox, which is fifth in the MLB. His 3.78 ERA is sixth, as is his 1.20 WHIP. Very good numbers.
In his last start, right-handed pitcher Lucas Giolito allowed three hits and three runs in four innings to score a 9-3 victory over the Los Angeles Angels.
This afternoon Giolito will have to go to the mound concentrated to lead his team to victory.
Jordan Lyles RHP
The pitching of the Texas Rangers is not exactly the best in MLB. Opponents have a .258 batting average against the Rangers, which is 28th in the MLB. His 4.79 ERA is 24th, while his 1.35 WHIP ranks 21st.
In his last start, Jordan Lyles allowed three hits without a run in seven innings, numbers that led to an 8-1 victory over Houston.
They will need a great performance from him again if they want to win this game.
Duel of right pitchers
The Chicago White Sox will seek one more victory in this series when they face the Texas Rangers in the final game of their three-game series on Sunday afternoon.
The Texas Rangers will send right-hander Jordan Lyles, 9-11, 5.20 ERA, to the mound.
While right-handed pitcher Lucas Giolito, 9-9, 3.77 ERA, will be the White Sox's starting pitcher.
Chicago is 7-3 in its last 10 games against Texas.
