Los Angeles Dodgers

The Los Angeles Dodgers have dropped their offense a bit during these playoffs, ranking sixth in the postseason with a .676 OPS this year. Their incredible offense has been limited a bit, as they are scoring 3.8 runs per game so far. The Dodgers have been one of the best hitting teams in the MLB regular season, having a .229 / .270 / .357 team bar line away from Dodger Stadium.

Right fielder Mookie Betts has done very well, as he has an .864 OPS with one home run and four RBIs on a stolen base. The key for the Dodgers will be in addition to pitching, that their offense awakens in this game and scores quickly to have the advantage on the scoreboard.

San Francisco Giants

The San Francisco Giants have been among the worst teams on offense in the 2021 MLB postseason, ranking ninth in the playoffs with a .524 OPS. They have been winning low scoring games, averaging 2.25 runs per game on the NLDS.

They have done much better at home during this division series, having an OP of .640 and scoring three runs. Left fielder Kris Bryant has a 1,192 OPS with a home run and a pair of RBIs. If the Giants get an early lead, they can manage the game and advance to the National League Championship Series against the Atlanta Braves.

Julio Urías LHP #7

Mexican pitcher Julio Urías has been shooting extremely well in this 2021 MLB campaign, and among other numbers, his 5.3 barrel percentage was the highest of his career.

Julio Urías has an arsenal of five pitches (fastball, curveball, change, sinker, slider) and his fastball has been the most impacted pitch of him, since he has a batting average of .277 and a slugging percentage of .484.

His great level and ability are not in doubt, but as he manages Dave Roberts his pitchers it will be interesting to see how long he keeps him on the mound.

7:36 PM2 months ago

Logan Webb RHP #62

Logan Webb has been shooting very well this entire season, even though his muzzle velocity is 88.1 MPH, the slowest of his career. Webb also throws five different pitches (sinker, slider, changeup, fastball, cutter) and his slider has been his best pitch this season as he has a .156 batting average with a slugging percentage of .231.

With the rest he had in this series, tomorrow a great performance is expected from him on the mound against the powerful offense of the Dodgers.

7:31 PM2 months ago

Game 5

The Los Angeles Dodgers arrive strong and highly motivated as they have leveled the NLDS and are in a win or go home situation. They will send Mexican pitcher Julio Urías to the mound tonight, who pitched in Game 2 of this division series and won when he pitched five innings and allowed one run on three hits, with one walk and five strikeouts.

The San Francisco Giants have been one of the best teams in recent memory and are just one game away from going home on vacation. They'll have pitcher Logan Webb pitching tonight, who is coming off a big win in Game 1 of the series as he took the win with 7.2 scoreless innings and allowed five no-walk hits and 10 strikeouts.

The match will be played at the Oracle Park

Game 5 between the Giants and Dodgers will be played tomorrow afternoon from the home of the San Francisco Giants.

It is considered one of the most beautiful stadiums in the league and is famous for the Coca Cola bottle and giant mitten located behind the left field seats, as well as the part of San Francisco Bay that is behind the field. right, a place known as McCovey Cove in honor of ex-baseball player Willie McCovey, where people gather to wait for the hits that go into the water.
