The Houston Astros turn to rookie right-hander Luis Garcia to start today's game, trying to prevent Atlanta from claiming its first World Series title since 1995.

After playing a couple of bullpen games, the Braves will turn to Max Fried to start today. The left-handed pitcher has responded to two solid playoff starts with a 1-2 record and a 5.40 ERA this postseason.
Fried, 27, gave up five runs and eight hits, including two home runs, in an 11-2 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers on Oct. 21 in Game 5 of the National League Championship Series. He then gave up six runs and seven hits in five innings of a 7-2 beating by the Astros in Game 2 of the World Series on Wednesday.
Before Fried's last two outings, he put together a series of 14 quality outings.

Max Fried is set to start Game 6 of the World Series in another closing game for Atlanta. The dynamic 27-year-old left-hander lit up with six runs and seven hits in five innings last Wednesday in the Braves' Game 2 loss. He has allowed 11 runs and 15 hits in 9 2/3 frames in his last two postseason starts. This will be the most important start of his entire professional career.

Houston Astros
The Houston Astros came in relief from Mexican pitcher José Urquidy to win Game 5 last Sunday. For that reason, they will have to turn to Luis Garcia to open Game 6 at home.
