The Detroit Tigers have placed left-handed pitcher Daniel Norris on the 15-day disabled list with a right oblique strain, the team announced.

In a corresponding move, the Tigers will recall right-handed pitcher Buck Farmer from Triple-A Toledo following Tuesday's game against the Cleveland Indians

Famer will start for the Tigers on Saturday against the Toronto Blue Jays

According to Jon Morosi of FOX Sports, the Tigers are "hopeful" that Norris will return shortly after the 2016 All-Star Game break.

Norris left Monday's game against the Tribe after walking Rajai Davis, a former Tigers outfielder, to start the third inning. He was replaced by Dustin Molleken, who made his debut.

For what it is worth, the 23-year-old missed a month of baseball with a right oblique strain last season.
