25-Man All-Star Roster (by position)-

Catchers:

Jorge Alfaro (Mrytle Beach/Frisco)- 121 G, .261 AVG, 17 HR, 87 RBI

Peter O'Brien (Tampa/Trenton/Mobile)- 106 G, .271 AVG, 34 HR, 74 RBI, .594 SLG

-O'Brien was one of the top power hitters this past season. He was traded for Martin Prado at the deadline and could easily be with the Diamndbacks next year making the Yankees regret that trade.

Infielders:

1B-3B Marquez Smith (Bakersfield/Pensacola)- 134 G, .311 AVG, 30 HR, 131 RBI, .601 SLG

2B-OF Mookie Betts (Portland/Pawtucket)- 99 G, .346 AVG, 11 HR, 65 RBI, 33 SB, .529 SLG

-Betts stellar season and quick rise to minor league stardom was capped off with a little taste of the bigs.

SS Corey Seager (Rancho Cucamonga/Chattanooga)- 118 G, .349 AVG, 20 HR, 97 RBI, .602 SLG

-With Seager nearing the bigs, he gives the Dodgers a clear decision on what to do with Hanley Ramirez.

3B Joey Gallo (Myrtle Beach/Frisco)- 126 G, .271 AVG, 42 HR, 106 RBI, .615 SLG

3B Brandon Drury (Visalia/Mobile)- 136 G, .299 AVG, 23 HR, 95 RBI

3B-1B D.J. Peterson (High Desert/Jackson)- 123 G, .297 AVG, 31 HR, 111 RBI, .552 SLG

-Peterson was oddly left off the Mariners roster all season, especially considering their GM loves bringing guys up early. He could be the number four hitter their teams lacks if he starts off hot in the minors next season.

3B-LF Kris Bryant (Tennessee/Iowa)- 138 G, .325 AVG, 43 HR, 110 RBI, 15 SB, .661 SLG

-Stud could not be written more clearly. Bryant will take over Chicago and could be the next MLB superstar.

Outfielders:

Brett Phillips (Quad Cities/Lancaster)- 130, G, .310 AVG, 17 HR, 68 RBI, 23 SB, .529 SLG

-Phillips was hitting for power in one of the toughest power parks in the minors and hitting for average in one of the best power parks. That's very impressive, however now he needs to show he's not a one year wonder.

Raimel Tapia (Asheville)- 122 G, .326 AVG, 9 HR, 72 RBI, 33 SB

Steven Souza Jr. (Syracuse)- 96 G, .350 AVG, 18 HR, 75 RBI, 26 SB, .590 SLG

Joc Pederson (Albuquerque)- 121 G, .303 AVG, 33 HR, 78 RBI, 30 SB, .582 SLG

-Pederson was the only player in the minors to hit 30 home runs and steal 30 bases. He will be giving the new Dodgers GM a big task this offseason, trading Andre Ethier.

Michael Taylor (Harrisburg/Syracuse)- 110 G, .307 AVG, 23 HR, 63 RBI, 37 SB, .526 SLG

Josh Bell (Bradenton/Altoona)- 108 G, .325 AVG, 9 HR, 60 RBI, only 55 K's

Starting Pitchers:

Tyler Glasnow (Bradenton)- 12W-5L, 1.74 ERA, 124.1 IP, 157 SO

-Glasnow will be a sure-fire top 5 prospect on most of next seasons top prospects lists.

Seth Streich (Stockton)- 9W-6L, 3.16 ERA, 114 IP, 116 SO

Tyler Anderson (Tulsa)- 7W-4L, 1.98 ERA, 118.1 IP, 106 SO

Henry Owens (Portland/Pawtucket)- 17W-5L, 2.94 ERA, 159 IP, 170 SO

-Owens is well on his way to becoming an ace for the Red Sox some day.

Josh Hader (Lancaster/Corpus Christi)- 10W-3L, 3.28 ERA, 123.1 IP, 136 SO

-Watching Hader pitch live was one of the biggest treats of the season.

Sean Manaea (Wilmington)- 7W-8L, 3.11 ERA, 121.2 IP, 146 SO

Justin Nicolino (Jacksonsville)- 14W-4L, 2.85 ERA, 170.1 IP, 81 SO, 2 CG (both shutouts)

Daniel Norris (Dunedin/New Hampshire/Buffalo)- 12W-2L, 2.53 ERA, 124.2 IP, 163 SO

Relief Pitchers:

Steven Okert (San Jose/Richmond)- 2W-2L, 2.11 ERA, 68.1 IP, 24/26 SV, 92 SO

-Okert is the top closer on this list due to pitching in the Cal League and making some of the top hitters in it look silly. Okert also got the save in the California vs. Carolina League All-Star game after coming in with bases loaded and no outs.

Zac Curtis (Hillsboro)- 2W-1L, 1.00 ERA, 14/15 SV, 27 IP, 42 SO

-Curtis is the only player on this list from a short season league, for good reason. He only blew one save chance and was a big part of the Hillsboro Hops run to their first Northwest League title.
