The show opens with Dario talking to Pentagon Jr. in his office.  Dario is showing off the four remaining ancient Medallions.  He promises to give away three tonight and asks Pentagon if he has any interest in competing for one.  Pentagon tells him no, and that he is focused on making sure that Vampiro accepts his challenge from last week.  Before Pentagon leaves Dario asks him when will he get to meet this mysterious master.  Pentagon replies that he will reveal himself when Pentagon has proven himself.

Pentagon is red hot right now.  He exudes charisma and has a presence that jumps off the screen.  Somehow everything he says seems more serious because it’s in Spanish.  Dario is dangling the strings here.  The medallions are a source of some interest.  It might lead to a seven-way match for a title shot.  If that’s the case they could have probably skipped this gimmick, so maybe he has something better in mind.

The opening bout of the evening is between Dairvari, with Big Ryck, taking on Bengala for a Medallion.  The first big move of the match comes when Bengala executes a great dive on Daivari on the outside.  Bengala executes a DDT that he turns into a roll up for a great near fall.  Daivari takes back the advantage after hitting a great top rope superplex.

Daivari calls Big Ryck to the apron, but it backfires and he bumps into Big Ryck. Bengala hits him with a Dragon Suplex and gets the pin.  Big Ryck chases Bengala away from the ring.

Lucha Underground has not done much with Daivari past his debut.  It will be interesting to see if they go forward with him.  He doesn’t have a bad look, but he needs an angle to get himself more over. Since his short face turn Big Ryck has done very little as well.  Off this win Bengala is getting added to the Medallions match that is filled with high flyers.

Vampiro hits the ring and cuts a promo where it appears that he will decline the challenge of Pentagon Jr.  Before he can give his final answer Pentagon’s music hits and he enters the ring.  He tells Vampiro to stop wasting time and calls him by his real name, Ian.  Vampiro tells him Ian will not accept his challenge, but before he leaves the ring he announces Vampiro will.  He then undoes his shirt, Pentagon shoots at him, but gets caught in a choke slam.  Pentagon is left laying while Vampiro celebrates in the crowd.

This match has to happen and Vampiro has to show he’s viable, but the physical exchange was poorly put together.  Vamp should have traded blows with Pentagon and sent him flying to the outside.  Pentagon can then shriek off waiting for a better opportunity, the way it was executed made Pentagon look way too weak.  Regardless this match will be a high point of the Ultima show to say the least.

Sexy Star is shown unpacking her bag in the locker room.  She suddenly finds the mask of Superfly.  She flashes back to when she won his mask a few weeks back.  This is done to hype their match later in the show.

King Cuerno is out next to take on Killshot for a Medallion.  Killshot gets the early advantage landing a solid jumping sidekick on Cuerno.  Cuerno wins the better of an exchange and sends Killshot to the outside.  Cuerno goes for a dive and gets a kick to the face for his troubles.  Killshot goes for a dive on Cuerno to the outside, but turns it into a rana instead.  After a few exchanges Cuerno lands a devastating apron powerslam and takes the advantage.

Cuerno hits a huge reverse rana sending Killshot to the floor.  This time when Cuerno goes for the Arrow dive he connects.  Back in the ring Killshot reverses out of the Thrill of the Hunt only to get caught by a flapjack.  Cuerno then locks in a chokehold submission and Killshot taps.

Cuerno is another super talent and Killshot matches up with him well, but this match was about 30 mph slower than they are both capable of.  It was still a solid effort and it is probably an important win for Cuerno who has lost some steam the last few weeks.

Superfly takes on Sexy Star next for the third Medallion match of the night.  Sexy quickly gains the advantage and lands an arm bar on Superfly.  He taps and the match is over in less than a minute.  As Sexy celebrates Marty the Moth comes to the ring.  He claims that the Medallion represents his tribe and demands Sexy give him a match for it right now.

A match breaks out.  They go for a few minutes until Sexy locks in the arm bar and Marty taps.  Sexy retains the Medallion.

The backstage piece hyping the first match seems like an utter waste.  Superfly is all, but dead after losing that way to Sexy.  Marty gets some mic time, which can’t hurt him, but he’s clearly surplus assets in a company that is already pretty heel heavy.  It might be a better idea to turn him face.

When we return from break the announcers review the Ultima Lucha card;

Prince Puma vs. Mil Muertes for the LU Title

Son of Havoc, Angelico and Ivelisse vs. The Disciples of Death for the Trios Titles

Mundo vs. El Patron

Drago vs. Hernandez

Blue Demon Jr. vs. Texano Jr.

Pentagon Jr. vs. Vampiro

It’s a well-put together card to say the least.

Dario calls out Mil and Puma to have a face off in the ring.  The announcers note that Konnan and Catrina have been asked to not come to the ring.  Dario makes a few jokes about the two men facing off when suddenly Catrina appears at the top of the stairs.  Dario tells her to leave, and from the other entrance the Disciples arrive with the casket.  Puma attacks Mil, but the Disciples quickly hit the ring and give Mil the advantage.

Konnan hits the ring and uses his cane to take out the Disciples, but Mil grabs the cane and hits Puma and Konnan with it.  The Disciples roll Konnan into the casket and the Disciples roll it away.  Mil is left standing over a flattened Puma holding the LU title.

It was yet another very solid show that felt like the go home show before a PPV.  There are still two shows before Ultima Lucha and one Medallion to give away.  There are three major mysteries yet to be solved.  Who is Pentagon’s master, who is Dario’s brother, and what is going to happen with Black Lotus.  It’s a lot to pay off in the next three weeks, but it is surely going to be a fun ride.
