There has been little from Sasha Banks since her match at WrestleMania. She has been noticeably absent from the past couple weeks of television, both SmackDown, and Raw, but continued to do the house show circuit until she was injured on May 15.

The Injury

The injury, which has been described as a freak accident, occurred when referee Derrick Moore accidentally hit Banks in the head with his knee on a May 14 house show. The circumstances that lead up to the accident are hazy but what is know is that it was surely an accident.

From that knee, Sasha received a concussion and, much like Enzo Amore, was kept off of shows and out of the ring until it is clear that the lingering effects have dissipated. Sasha is scheduled to have an evaluation this Saturday to determine if she is ready to return to the ring or not. Considering that she has been out of action for nearly a week and a half, she should be expected to pass this and return to action next week.

Future Plans

What remains to be seen is whether or not she will find herself back on television soon with plans for her to take on Charlotte at SummerSlam. Dave Meltzer has said recently that her absence on television up to this point has been to establish Charlotte as the champion so that when Banks returns they can feud. This keeping her off of tv will do well to keep the feud fresh while allowing Charlotte to establish herself as a dominant champion who needs to be defeated.

Whatever the plans for Banks, it is unfortunate that she suffered such a serious injury in such a random and freak way. Luckily for all of her fans, she seems to be recuperating well and should be back on television relatively soon.
