On a Monday Night Raw that was to set up for the draft, Vince McMahon made his Raw return to announce the new Commissioner of SmackDown! Being forced to choose between his son, former European Champion, Shane McMahon and his daughter, former Women's Champion, Stephanie McMahon, Vince told them that he was let down by the both of them. He wanted competition! He wanted one to slit the others throat....but neither did. Letting them plead their cases, Vince chose Shane rather than Stephanie to run SmackDown, with the support of the WWE Universe in Detroit!

After Shane pleaded his case and was awarded power over the newly christened Tuesday Night SmackDown Live, Vince McMahon informed Shane in front of the Detroit crowd that he is no longer in charge of Raw. Due to SmackDown, his duties on Raw are no longer required, which means Stephanie McMahon is now in charge of WWE's flagship, Monday Night Raw. Vince also said that he wants them to compete for ratings and the winner will be the one to get the company at the time of his death. This (kayfabe, of course) will likely make them want to win in the ratings even more than prior. As Shane and Stephanie went to leave, the segment still was not over (it seemed like it drove on and on). Vince also said that they're not the only one's in charge, as both Shane and Steph will elect a general manager to run the show with them. Who will be the general managers?

WHO WILL BE THE GM's?

Let's start off with Shane O'Mac, shall we? Who is going to run SmackDown with Shane McMahon? It's simple: someone who has a history with SmackDown, a former wrestler that has been retired for years....a surprise to the audience. Nobody was more beloved by fans than WWE Hall of Famer, Edge, who was forced into retirement in 2011 after a career-ending neck injury. Edge has constantly come back; most notably for segments with the New Day and in 2014 when Seth Rollins threatened to break his neck again. This makes too much sense as Edge was the face of SmackDown for a majority of the brand split. One of SmackDown's brightest stars at the start of the brand split, and the World Champion for the last 6 years of it, Edge was the greatest superstar in the history of SmackDown.

On the other side of the equation, we have Stephanie McMahon, who's choice is obvious....the 14-Time World Champion, her husband Triple H. Triple H and Stephanie have not only run Raw for years, Triple H has been the biggest name on Raw for most of his career. He was the first World Heavyweight Champion on Raw and is virtually the only selection imaginable for Steph. Triple H has noticeably been missing since WrestleMania 32 loss to Roman Reigns, and it's not much longer until he re-enters the fold.

Picks: Triple H (Monday Night Raw) and Edge (Tuesday Night Smackdown!
