The WWE Draft is an exciting event for both the fans and superstars of the WWE. As the WWE moves ahead with its brand split, superstars have to be separated between the brands for what the WWE labeled as unique rosters for each show.

There has been much speculation in the lead up to the event on July 19th, live on the first episode of SmackDown Live but now the WWE has given everybody an insight into what will happen on Tuesday night.

Fans have been trying to predict just which superstar would be drafted first overall. Will it be Seth Rollins? Will it be John Cena? Or will it be WWE Champion, Dean Ambrose? Well the WWE Universe will find that out on Tuesday but what they do know is whoever is drafted first overall will be headed to Monday Night Raw

That's right, after weeks of speculation it is Monday Night Raw who will hold the first overall pick in the 2016 WWE Draft

The full draft rules

In previous years, they hadn’t been many rules surrounding the WWE Draft. Superstars and announcers were eligible to be drafted but only a certain number of moves were made.

This year, the WWE has announced that everybody is eligible to move brands. A number of superstars like The Undertaker and Nikki Bella have been left off the eligible list and that seems to have happened as nobody is sure when Nikki Bella will return and nobody is quite sure how long The Undertaker has left.

Luke Harper was also left off of the list of eligible draftees.

There will also be six picks made from NXT. There had been a number of reports suggesting top NXT stars would be moving up to the WWE main roster but now there is a definite number.

Monday Night Raw will also make three picks for every two picks SmackDown live makes. The WWE’s reasoning about this is that Raw is three hours in length while SmackDown will only be two hours.

Finally, tag teams will count as one pick unless the General Manager of the brand making the pick chooses to only select one member of the team.

One noticeable absent team from the list provided by the WWE is that of the Wyatt Family, they are all listed separately, barring Luke Harper who is out injured.

Who will be making the picks?

Well, both Shane and Stephanie McMahon are expected to name their brands General Manager at the beginning of the July 18th episode of Monday Night Raw.

Daniel Bryan is expected to be named SmackDown Live general manager while rumors suggest Triple H will take control of Monday Night Raw.

By seemingly placing two good guys on one show, Shane McMahon, and Daniel Bryan, the WWE are giving the WWE Universe a choice, do they want to watch Monday Night Raw and The Authority, or the New Era on SmackDown Live.
