Conor McGregor is not known for being the nicest guy in the world as his whole mantra seems to be to insult whoever he can whenever he can.

The UFC performer continued this tradition when he called the performers of WWE the negative term of "P*****s."

While many of the wrestlers in the company may not possess the same legitimate fighting skill of the Irishman they sure as hell where not going to lay down and be insulted.

WWE superstars reply

Just when it seemed his comments would be swept under the rug, the 28-year-old kicked up some more dust and pushed the performers so far that they felt they had to respond.

The fighter on Twitter said, adding insult to injury "I didn't mean no disrespect to the @WWE fans. What I meant to say was that I'd slap the head off your entire roster. And twice on Sunday's."

The UFC man who is scheduled to face Nate Diaz at UFC 202 may be purposely looking to antagonize people and by the looks of things he got his wish.

One of the first to reply was Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt Angle who came closing to joining the MMA company in the past and he said "@TheNotoriousMMA @WWE very funny little guy. Why don't you get your head out of Dana White's ass."

The veteran was rumored to have had a shoot (true) wrestling match with Brock Lesnar and (just about) defeated him so having Angle mad at you may not be such a wise decision.

Not far behind was someone who radiates positivity as Kofi Kingston jokingly said "Yikes, looks like @TheNotoriousMMA could really use a bowl of Booty O's right about now. Someone hook him up."

Although The former United States Champion may be taking the light hearted approach is seems that his stable partner is not messing around as Big E replied with "Would you prefer to find us individually or have us all line up at once? I know your time is valuable, sir."

Gender would not stop the superstars from firing shots at the 28-year-old as even Sasha Banks felt it was her right to call out McGregor as she simply said "Bring it."

Rusev decided to waiver in also, and may have hit McGregor right where in hurts as he said "So much talk for a guy who fights 15 min matched twice a year...... Good for you Conor McGaiver."

With the fighter seemingly desperate for worldwide recognition, having his name be spelt wrong purposely is an insult all on its own.

The anger was not limited to WWE performers as the comments of the man who is nicknamed Notorious essentially extended to all wrestlers signed to the company or not.

MVP felt personally angered by the insults and dished out one of his own as he said "The way Nate Diaz Stockton slapped you or nah?" The former TNA performer was referring to McGregor's last fight in which he lost to Diaz, his first loss in his UFC career.

Roman Reigns

It would seem strange for The Guy in WWE to sit back and watch his fellow colleagues suffer such harsh criticism and Roman Reigns decided to voice his opinion. [Cue the "This is awesome" chants.]

In simple put-down fashion the former World Champion said "Your the size of my leg. Shut up."

The 31-year-old then noticing his grammatical mistake tweeted out the following "You're* sorry grammar geeks, Smh.

Opinion: The real mistake

McGregor may need to think again if he thinks he can beat up the entire WWE roster (image: cagesideseats.com)

For McGregor to be talking about people he really should not be worried about is a rather bemusing subject.

The only link between him and the WWE is that Brock Lesnar returned to UFC for one night, won then returned back to the wrestling promotion.

Speaking of The Beast, Notorious suggested he could "slap the heads" of everyone on the roster, clearly McGregor is no WWE fan.

With the 28-year-old embarrassed by the taller Diaz in his last fight, pitting him against Lesnar would be a David and Goliath story all on its own. Except for the fact that David would be torn to pieces and humiliated in quick fashion. Lesnar could defeat McGregor. The semantics are clear with The Conqueror nearly double the weight of the Irishman at 130kg.

Plus with the 39-year-old actually having a legitimate fighting background his insult was inaccurate to say the least.

It seems unlikely that this is a work on WWE's part with the promotion being fully PG as using the term "p*****s" would not be fitting of the current product, however if it were, it would be an ingenious move by both parties.

So do not be expecting an entire roster to beat down McGregor come SummerSlam, as if the betting shops are correct he will at home, nursing his injuries and defeat. But, however, it does seem that with UFC and WWE working together recently that a storyline between the two companies may be in the pipeline for a later date.
