The new era has dawned and the third showing of Monday Night Raw delivered an interesting show.

There was a number of key points in the show that hit the heights while others were very lackluster but what was there to take-away?

Weddings never end well

All WWE fans know that weddings or anything resembling one and wrestling do not go well together, and this unholy tradition stayed true last night.

Lana and Rusev were celebrating their recent tying of the knot when out came Roman Reigns to spoil the celebrations.

The former Shield member issues an ultimatum; to either propose a toast to the newlyweds or for The Bulgarian Brute to face him for the United States Championship at SummerSlam.

Rusev refused both, but the ever forward former WWE Champion insisted on a toast that angered the newly made husband, and as the Bride tried to escape she was dunked into a delicious looking cake.

With the brute in total shock at his partner's anguish at being covered in frosting and icing, Reigns made a quick and smooth getaway.

The two are now going to go one-on-one at SummerSlam in what has quickly become one of the most interesting feuds on the red brand.

Bye bye Brooke

Sasha Banks showed her feistiness when she confronted General Manager Mick Foley demanding that he make her SummerSlam title defense a handicap match.

The Boss, fed up with Dana Brooke's involvement wanted to know what she was up against but the hardcore veteran had a better idea.

The Women's Champion would square off against Charlotte's prodigy and if she defeated her, then she would be banned from ringside at SummerSlam.

After a miscommunication on the part of the Nature Girl and Brooke, Flair struck her young partner in the face, gifting Banks with an opening that she took to pick up the victory.

The Tag-Team Titles are on the line

Following their demolition of Big E last week, The Club managed to get their wish and will face Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods for the Tag-Team Titles at SummerSlam.

Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson took part in an interesting video promo citing how the missing member of the Champions is suffering from 'postitis'.

This is a nod to their beat down of Big E last week, resulting in his absence; Gallows faced off against Kingston who tried to get even but the power of the former NJPW man was too much for him to handle.

The Club looked like making The Biggest Party of the Summer much easier for them by taking out Kingston in the same style as Big E but luckily Woods made the save.

Cesaro versus Sheamus part 3

While on paper the battle between The Celtic Warrior and The Swiss Superman may not sound the most appealing their match was actually the best of the night.

With GM Foley not pleased with Cesaro's victory over Sheamus last week he ordered a rematch, with the former Tag-Team Champion winning once more.

Now armed with two victories, he warranted out a title opportunity and he was granted one against Rusev.

After a great match with both men going the limit, it would be interference from Sheamus that cost Cesaro the victory, and it seems likely that the two men will square off at SummerSlam to settle their score.

We will be introduced to The Demon King

Seth Rollins came out and cut a promo calling out Finn Balor, stating how his real name is not Finn Balor at all.

While Rollins' name may not actually be Rollins' is a whole other story but it seems certain that the no.1 Draft Pick is determined to push the buttons of the former star of NXT.

Next week, the former Shield member said he will call out The Demon King, which according to him is a reference to myth and legend.

Whether the former Bullet Club leader makes a showing in full makeup remains to be scene but an entrance as amazing as his should surely be saved until SummerSlam.
