Ahead of his huge rematch against Nate Diaz at UFC 202, loudmouth Irishman Conor McGregor turned his attention onto the performers of WWE.

Following on from his comments last week in which he labeled the stars of the wrestling promotion as "p*****s" he continued his tirade in typical Notorious fashion.

On Ric Flair

The 28-year-old was speaking at an open press conference ahead of his clash with Diaz but it was not long until the questions wavered from his headline-grabbing remarks of last week.

One of the most vocal people who felt personally disrespected was veteran Ric Flair who even suggested that many WWE performers have the ability to 'beat up' McGregor himself.

The Nature Boy accused the fighter of copying his 'gimmick' something the UFC man was strongly against as he said "Ric Flair is a legend, but as far as talking about gimmicks, this is the real thing over here, these WWE guys... they are not right in the head some of them."

He continued, "They are absolute dweebs, but the old school guys are legends, Ric Flair of course, and the McMahons are dons but I just said it as it is they are dweebs."

On John Cena

On paper, a man that performs shirtless for thousands of people, while pretending to beat up his opponent does sound ridiculous and McGregor seems to have taken The Leader of the Cenation and wrestling as a whole on face value.

John Cena took the brunt of the fighter's comments and was singled out for his gimmick with the ESPN's 2015 Fighter of the Year clearly not a fan of the 15-time World Champion.

He said, "The main guy John Cena, he is 40 yeah? He is 40 years of age and he is walking round in a luminous orange t-shirt and a headband, talking nobody can see him, we can see him right there, he is a big fat 40-year-old failed Mr. Olympia m**********r."

McGregor may have been accurate in highlighting the 39-year-old's failed bodybuilding career but not entirely as The Face that Runs the Place openly gave up the career shortly after entering when presented with the chance to become a professional wrestler

On fighting a WWE performer

The legitimate fighter received a number of challenges via social media through performers offering to fight the Irishman for real.

Roman Reigns, Big E, and even Ric Flair directed their challenges towards him, although the latter said he would use Dolph Ziggler in his place.

On the prospect of taking one of the performers he said, "He was talking about challenging and bringing some m**********r wrestling guys to come challenge me, then come bring it, this is the real s*** over here if you want to come over we can fight no problem... come at me and see what happens."

He continued, "I do not know what to say to Ric Flair, this ain't any gimmick, this is the real s*** I have to go fight a man for real with no script."

While a legitimate fight seems unlikely to happen without an arrest being involved, it has been widely suggested that the whole comments were indeed a work but after the scorn from the second time around; that is looking unlikely

No disrespect

It may seem a little bit strange for McGregor to claim he meant "no disrespect" to any of the high profile or wealthy performers who have made their names in the wrestling industry, but he felt as though his comments were exempt from any contempt.

He said, "No disrespect to the dons of the game you know, Vinnie Mac is a f*****g legend, they wrote Vinnie off a few years ago when he dropped from the billions but he rose and now he is back in the billionaire's club."

The Notorious One spoke of his admiration for the empire that Mr. McMahon has been able to forge as he believes that it has been shocking considering the level of talent he has had to use.

He continued, "What he has been able to do with that bunch of dweebs he has over there at the moment has been phenomenal and I respect him for that."

It is not trash talk, it is true talk

Many people may not agree with McGregor's comments but the 28-year-old is not in the MMA world to make friends, and he is once again making headlines via his comments.

Following the new found agreement that WWE and UFC seemed to have established a couple of months ago, that seems to have been ruined all thanks to one man.

But McGregor still talked of his admiration for some of the 'legends' of the wrestling industry as he said, "The OG's of the game, The Rock, Stone Cold, they are all cool m***********s and Ric Flair is a cool m**********r."

While he may have been easing off the criticism he brought it straight back up again, speaking about how he finds the WWE performers to be "messed up in the head."

He finished with, "Like I said, I am just speaking the truth, that new age of those guys are just messed up in the head, I do not know what it is but when I just hear them talk and carry themselves they just don't seem right in the head, that might be a bit rude of me to say but at the end it is not trash talk it is true talk."
