The recent Brand Extension offered a number of reasons for viewers to tune into either SmackDown Live or Monday Night RAW.

One of the most exciting reasons to tune into the red brand was for the announced cruiserweight division that was expected to be established soon.

Now it seems that the creation is closer than expected and a number of new performers will be showcasing their ability on Monday nights.

Currently, on Raw, there is not enough talent for a cruiserweight division to fully establish itself but WWE has a plan. The wrestling promotion has reached out to a number of performers set to be featured in the under 205lbs division.

When the feature was first announced no official date was provided but the performers are set to begin competing in September.

The Cruiserweight Classic, which has attracted huge attention on the WWE Network, will cease on September 14th in the final, with a new Cruiserweight Title expected.

Gran Metalik and Kota Ibushi, two stars of the CWC have already been awarded contracts with the WWE but it is unknown whether they will be featured in the Cruiserweight division.

Brian Kendrick and Tajiri, the two veterans of the company were believed to have been approached regarding returns to the company but no further information has been given.

The Wednesday night Network show has showcased many top stars with a number of them expected to be present when the Cruiserweight division gets underway next month.

Zack Sabre Junior, TJ Perkins, Jack Gallagher and even Jason Lee a personal favorite of Triple H may also be in attendance but no official statement has been made by the company.

Last week's show saw Cedric Alexander be serenaded with chants of "Please sign Cedric" which was followed by Paul Levesque drawing back the curtain and placing his arm around the former Ring of Honor man.

While no performers have been officially confirmed for the division, it seems many of the CWC participants may become permanent features on Monday Night RAW.
