Shawn Michaels has served as a loyal employee of WWE since signing for the company in 1987.

Despite suggestions regarding whether the 51-year-old could cut it amongst the giants of the business, he proved everybody wrong.

HBK's legacy stands as one of the most treasured in wrestling and when he bowed out at WrestleMania XXVI against The Undertaker, it was a truly tragic day in sports entertainment.

Following his retirement in 2010, the veteran has served as a WWE ambassador making sporadic appearances for the company when required such as at WrestleMania 32.

Now it seems that he has taken on a new opportunity as The Heartbreak Kid will be occupying the role of the sidelined Terry Taylor as a coach to the new stars of the future.

The 61-year-old Taylor is absent after having neck surgery recently and Michaels is deemed as the perfect replacement while he recovers.

The former DeGeneration X founder has trained talent in the past as he notably taught Daniel Bryan and The Brian Kendrick, who have both credited the veteran for their success.

Michaels is thought to have already relocated to the WWE training center in Orlando, Florida and will begin his new full-time role very soon.

The WWE Performance Center

Much of the success that NXT has acquired can be put down to the WWE performance center where the stars hone their craft and ability.

Many of the developmental roster have begun their training there with the exception of veteran's such as Bobby Roode, Kota Ibushi and Shinsuke Nakamura.

Despite this, all of the performers will have made use of the equipment provided that was first created in 2013, and has provided the WWE Universe with a number of stars.

The trainers at the center are equally as impressive with veteran William Regal as well as Robbie Brookside, Joey Mercury, Sara Amato and even guest coaches pitching in to help the future champions of WWE.
