As Samoa Joe trudges to the back, Shinsuke Nakamura showcases the new gold around his waist to cap out an iconic night of professional wrestling.
A second Kinshasa was enough for Nakamura to defeat Joe who is now seeking medical attention for what may be a broken jaw, as the official raises an X symbol.
SHINSUKE NAKAMURA IS THE NEW NXT CHAMPION!
The Samoan looks to hit his pattented muscle buster once again but slips and is met with the Kinshasa but somehow kicks out!
The muscle buster connects but somehow to the shock of not only Samoa Joe but the entire Barclays Center, Nakamura somehow kicks out!
A huge suplex to the champion and Nakamura was looking for the Kinshasha but Joe knew what was waiting for him and hits a powerslam!
The clover leaf is applied by the champion but Nakamura edges himself closer to the ropes but Joe looks to apply the Conquina Clutch but the eccentric challenger slips away and gets his foot to the bottom rope. The champion can not believe it.
Both men are almost dead on their feet but they are continuing to dish out punishment onto each-other but Nakamura sends Joe flying as he tries to lock in the arm-breaker but the power of the champion is just too much for him to lock it in.
The challenger delivers a number of sickening knees to the head of the champion but Joe quickly recovers and looks for the muscle buster but is instead met with a dropkick.
Nakamura buys himself some time as he looks to roll away from Joe and hits an enziguri of his own but the champion remains on his feet but not more long as one more kick to the head takes the big-man down.
They do not call him The Samoan Submission Specialist for nothing as he again locks in a new move focussing the tension on the back of nakamura before transitioning into a crossface. the challenger is in real trouble here!
The champion twists and turns the Japanese man in awkward positions as he maintains the hold onto his neck, but Nakamura breaks the hold as he gets his foot onto the ropes.
Joe once again with the agility as he performs a perfect suicide dive to the outside of the ring onto the recovering challenger! Have you ever seen 300 pounds move so quick?
Nakamura quickly recovers and as he looked to drop the knee onto the head ot the champion, Joe wisely ducked and may have injured the challenger in doing so.
An enziguri from the Samoan showcasing his athletic ability as he takes his time and does not even attempt a cover to highlight his dominance.
Advantage Nakamura as he delivers good vibrations much to the delight of the NXT Universe, forcing the champion to take a breather outside of the ring.
The cries of Shinsuke are increasing in volume and the early exchange continues as both men duck incoming kicks from each-other.
Samoa Joe's strength eventually wears down Nakamura as he keeps a tight hold of the former NJPW man before shoving him away in a show of dominance.
Both men match move-for-move in the early minutes of the match as no advantage is taken by either challenger or champion.
Samoa Joe is welcomed warmly by the NXT Universe as he proudly displays gold around his shoulder, he will be fully expecting to walk about the same way, but first the official has some work to do as he must refrain both men from tearing each-other apart before the bell has even been rung!
The Brooklyn crowd are on their feet for Shinsuke Nakamura, but what must be going through the undefeated performer's mindset as he prepares to face NXT Champion Samoa Joe?
Nakamura is introduced by a solo violin player, a touching and oddly beautiful moment ahead of a match that is likely to be anything but.
The feud between the two superstars in the main event of NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn II has been progressing for weeks and the two will finally come face-to-face tonight with no security around to protect either performer should they need it.
Samoa Joe has never looked so dangerous as he pushes one of his security detail to the side, his eyes are fixated on his path but his mind will be dedicated to the beat-down he plans to deliver to Shinsuke Nakamura.
The Hugathon continues as she hugs her mother and superfan Izzy with the entire crowd in the Barclays Center showing their love and appreciation for the Bayley.
The falllen challenger shares a touching moment with the four horsewoman of NXT as she hugs both Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch before going over to Charlotte.
Bayley has been left heartbroken by her defeat to Asuka, but as the NXT Universe chant her name could this be the last time they see her in the middle of an NXT ring as the main roster beckons?
Once more the champion locks in the Asuka lock but Bayley somehow gets out, foolishly the challenger invites the champion to continue to deliver her stiff hits but it was her downfall as a hellacious kick to the head was enough for Asuke to remain as champion!
BAYLEY TO BELLY! A kick out at two but a kick out at two, Asuka will not give up her championship so easily.
The champion is sent face-first into the middle of the ring but kicks out at two before quickly heading into the Asuka lock! The same submisison that forced Bayely to submit at NXT TakeOver: Dallas!
Bayley's chest absorb the stiff kicks of Asuka as she demands that the champion striker her in the face, not the smartest move but it seems to have lit a fight in the 27-year-old.
The two women show they can match each other as they hit eachother with running knees but Asuka halts the move-set as she focusses her attention of looking to force the challenger to submit via an ankle lock.
A new side to Bayley continues to shine through as with Asuka stuck hanging from the top rope she hits an elbow drop to knock the wind out of the champion.
Bayley hits the crossbody but it is not enough to keep the Japanese performer down who quickly ducks the second crossbody before hitting a kick to the head of the challenger.
The Heart and Soul of NXT becomes to find her rhythm as she counters the flying champion who was looking to knock her down onto the floor surrounding the ring.
Bayley is looking more and more vulnerable against the agile Asuka who is toying with the former champion.
The challenger is met with a powerful kick to her face from the champion. She has just got an early taste of how lethal the Japanese performer can be, as if she needed any introductions.
Bayley looks very focussed but will that be enough to hand Asuka her first defeat in NXT? The crowd are split down the middle with chants for the two superstars.
The dominant and undefeated Asuka makes her entrance at NXT TakeOver Brooklyn and she is hoping to instll fear in her opponent!
Bayley makes her entrance to a huge cheer from the NXT Universe. The 'Hugger' section is out in full force!
Up next Bayley will look to reclaim her NXT Women's Championship against the undefeated Asuka? Will she be as successful as she was at last year's TakeOver where she defeated Sasha Banks to claim her first?
The Revival regain their tag-team titles in what has been a back and forth truly exhilarating match, all four men put on a masterclass and on their TakeOver debut despite a valiant effort Ciampa and Gargano could not overcome the partnership of the champions.
Dash attacks the knee of Gargano and then with the help of his partner jumps from the top rope, Dawson locks in a submission attacking the knee of the challenger and he is forced to tap out.
A back and forth in the ring between Dawson and Ciampa gets the crowds hearts pumping! They hit a double kick to the front and and back of Dash's dead and just when it looks to be over he gets his foot to the bottom rope!
Ciampa locks in the arm bar and just when it looked like Dawson was about to submit he is saved by Dash. The champions set the challengers up for a suplex but a spear from Gargano interrupts their momentum.
The champions make a sneaky tag and Dawson hits a ddt but this back and forth match continues as another two count is made.
A neck-breaker to Dawson draws a two count and Gargano is looking unstoppable, a spear to the gut to follow up but again only a two-count.
Just when it lookked as if Ciampa was make a resurgence he is beaten down once more by Dawson, but finally Gargano enters the match and is bringing his A-game to the champions.
A tag is made to Gargano but the referee who was occupied by Dash "falling" into the ring misses the connection and the champions take advantage but are left with just a near fall.
Ciampa is being beaten down by the champions and may not be able to handle much more of the abuse, he needs to make a tag and fast.
The strength of Ciampa shines through as with just his legs he manages to push off both Dash and Dawson, he then goes for the tag but Gargano is hauled away by the prowling Dawson who then delivered a right arm to his face.
Gargano with a suicide dive on Dash to the outside of the ring and Ciampa is not far behind as he hits a running knee to the face of Dawson, but the champions show their wily instincts as they make the quick tag to team-up on Ciampa,
All four men go at it in the middle of the ring and just when Dash was being set up for a double-team move he is pulled to safety by his tag-team partner.
The crowd are in love with the challengers as Gargano is serenaded with chants of "Johnny Wrestling" as Dash Wilder makes his way into the ring.
A hesitant Scott Dawson edges his way back into the ring to lock horns with Ciampa who ends up htting chops to both champions and finally Johnny Gargano enters the match!
The champions take the early advantage and show their smarts as they dodge the oncoming enslaught of the vicious Tommaso Ciampa.
Speaking of encounters, The Revival make their way to the ring as they look to defend their tag-team titles and they do not look in the best of moods.
The two soon to be former indie darlings Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano make their entrance at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn II. Can the duo coincide following their epic encounter in the first round of The Cruiserweight Classic?
The official name for Ciampa and Gargano will be DIY. As everything they have ever done has been by themselves. "Do it yourself."
Next up will be a match for the Tag-Team Titles as The Revival take on Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano!
Breaking News: Triple H announces the new trophy created by Orange County Choppers that will be awarded to the victor of The Cruiserweight Classic on September 14th.
Roode with the spinebuster! Out of nowhere the tables hve turned and he hits the Glorious Bomb on Cien to pick up the pin-fall victory!
Cien gets the small package on Roode but The Glorious One kicks at two, Cien summons the crowed once more as he hits the knees to the face of the former TNA man.
Almas looks to ge the crowd hyped but the ever aware Bobby Roode stops him head in his tracks and he heads to the top rope possibly for a German-Suplex. He hits it but Almas somehow lands on his feet! What agility from the 26-year-old!
Roode now looking to wear down the agile Almas with a good old fashioned headlock but the high flying performer escapes his grip but is rewarded with a knee to the gut.
Andrade Almas shakes off the early nerves and finally gets into rhythm as he connects with a kick to jaw of The Glorious One but after trying to follow up with a high risk move is sent crashing onto the top-rope. Ouch.
Bobby Roode has his opponent rattled as he bathes in the glory of the NXT Universe.

The entire Barclays Center is singing along to the theme song of Bobby Roode in appreciation of the performerwho descends onto the ramp from some kind of platform.
Bobby Roode: "New York City is my kind of town. But not Brooklyn. Brooklyn is the armpit of New York City." It seems that The Glorious One is not a fan of the setting of NXT TakeOver!
The vignettes were accurate and it seems that Ember Moon may just be the next star of the NXT Women's Division.
Welcome to NXT Ember Moon! What an impact from the new-comer as she hits a devastating move from the top-rope as she hits a stunner from the top rope, 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin would be proud of that one!
Kay has had very little trouble putting away all who have been lined up in front of her in recent weeks but it seems that Ember Moon is causing her a lot more problems, as her red eye are now looking even meanier!
The debut of Ember Moon may be coming to an end soon as Kay locks in the Widow's peak made famous by former WWE star Victoria!
Kay delivers a number of forearms to the face of Ember as she continues to beatdown her opponent
Ember Moon is a woman of real quality as he agility causes early problems for Kay, who quickly looks to use her strength to over power the new-comer.
Kay may have defeated the most of the women in but her opponent is of unknown quality. Can Ember Moon show her what real dominance is?
Up next is a Women's Division match as Billie Kay makes her way to the ring. The woman in all blue has been on a one-woman rampage recently as she powers her way through the females of NXT.

A cheap shot by Aries but countered by Itami who hits the Go To Sleep GTS on The Greatest Man that Ever Lived. Welcome back Hideo Itami, what a way to truly make a statement!
Hideo Itami is here, fresh from injury and he does not look happy to see Aries!
Aries is not finished with Jose and once again locks his devastating submission move but out comes Hideo Itami!!
The young performer is locked in the Last Chancery and is forced to tap-out. Aries waited for his opportunity and a huge win for the veteran who may be edging himself back towards the main event picture!
Aries with a devastating dropkick to his opponent, but somehow purely on instinct, Jose kicks out at two!
A major error by No Way Jose and Aries is capitalising on his opponent's mistake as he sets him up for a suplex but it is reversed by the resilient Jose who gets a near fall.
Aries locks in the Last Chancery, but somehow No Way Jose manages to overpower the smaller performer, the crowd are still heaviliy cheering the former Ring of Honor champion.
No Way Jose is going to have to pray for a miracle if he planned to outwrestle Aries, but it seems unleash as much punishment as possible when given the opportunity could work to as he slams the veteran's face into the ringpost.
The wiley former TNA man shows his ruthless instincts to plow Jose's face into the top rope and looks to get a stronghold into this match.
No Way Jose refuses to ease up on Aries as he dives from the apron onto the veteran on the outside of the ring, despite pleas for mercy, the dancing performer is in no mood to grant his opponent's wishes.
Aries continues to command the majority of crowd favor in the Barclays center but is taken back down to earth via a slap to the face from his rival!
Both men look confident and ready as they kick off NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn, but who will claim the first victory in this groundbreaking event?
Despite his arrogance shining through in recent weeks, Austin Aries commands a warm reception, can he prove just why he is The Greatest Man that Ever Lived?
A huge reception for No Way Jose in the opening match in Brooklyn, as he leads a Conga line of fans around the world. What a way to engage the NXT Universe and get them fired up!

Prediction: Shinsuke Nakamura
The main event features two of the most destructive forces of NXT colliding with one another as the undefeated Shinsuke Nakamura looks to take the NXT Championship away from Samoa Joe. In recent weeks the former New Japan Pro Wrestling star has had the upper hand of the champion and made him look silly but with the former Ring of Honor man now able to inflict as much pain as possible could he hand the Japanese performer his first loss in the company?
Prediction: Asuka
Arguably one of the most anticipated bouts on the card as the undefeated Asuka pits her Women’s Championship against the women she defeated in Dallas; Bayley. The hugger has been ruthless when competing in the ring showing a new fierce side to her character but as she begins to dominate her opponents more the champion has been doing it since day one. The image of Bayley fading away and passing out to Asuka in April remains a heartbreaking image, but with the ability of the veteran champ, it is hard to look past a second victory. Side note: Bayley is looking increasingly likely to be heading to the main roster (it is just a matter of time as they say) so putting the title back on her would only delay her arrival on either Monday Night Raw or SmackDown Live.
Prediction: Bobby Roode
Some men are men and others are glorious. Bobby Roode became a star without even competing in a single match as his promo featuring a snap heel turn made him an instant sensation and his theme song is beyond awesome. His opponent Andrade Almas possesses all the tools of a top competitor but his character is rather mysterious and bland, Roode was an animal in his TNA days and could be a huge star in NXT if given the big wins.
Prediction: The Revival
The Revival have been one of the most obnoxious but talented tag teams on the NXT roster for a long-time their re-capturing of the titles at the last TakeOver demonstrated how they can overcome even the best duo in American Alpha. Their opponents, however, may be two of the best singles performers in the world and have already recorded a victory over the champions. Could the team of Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa steal the glory from the reigning holders and assert themselves under the NXT spotlight?
Prediction: Austin Aries
Next up features a man that has shown a much more serious side to his character over the past month No Way Jose taking on The Greatest Man that Ever Lived Austin Aries. The former TNA performer started this rivalry after taking out the dancing performer in June and since then Jose has been set on revenge. General Manager William Regal made the decision on the match to allow the two to settle their differences, but Aries’ stock has been dropping rapidly so can he climb the mountain of NXT or will be tumble off the cliff?
Prediction: Ember Moon
The first match has been built up for all the right reasons, the debut of Ember Moon coincides with the destruction that Billie Kay has been dishing out which screams; recipe for success, providing both women can come up with the goods. Kay has been on a one-woman rampage tearing through the woman’s division while her opponent is of an unknown quantity but with huge hype surrounding her, can she put the bully that Kay is becoming firmly in her place?
Now the stars of today are here to shine today and NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn II will surely do its best to grab all the attention away from The Biggest Party of the Summer. NXT TakeOver: Dallas presented one of the most must-see shows and is still talked about day probably more than WrestleMania 32, so they will be hoping for a repeat at the Barclays Centre.
To think of the dark cloud that Florida Championship Wrestling was becoming to how NXT has now grown into one of the most successful, edgy and ground-breaking is truly astonishing and the credit lies solely with the people behind the scenes such as William Regal, Triple H and the rest of the NXT trainers who have grown the product to a level never predicted.
The previous special event took place in June and was entitled ‘The End’ as it put to bed the rivalry of one of the most heated feuds that the company has fuelled in Samoa Joe and Finn Balor but while the previous show contained a small crowd of a little over 300 spectators TakeOver: Brooklyn II is set to smash the 15,000 mark.
NXT as we know it changed completely from last year’s TakeOver Brooklyn and this time featuring a stacked card it is likely to chance again. From Bayley’s iconic championship win over rival Sasha Banks to Finn Balor retaining his NXT Championship against Kevin Owens in the promotions first ever ladder match, yet now incredibly the stakes have been raised even higher.
