SmackDown Live has been stealing all the headlines as of late, putting on consistent entertaining episodes that have had most wrestling fans admitting that the blue brand has been the better show since the brand split. But after an impressive Monday Night Raw, it is now up to SmackDown to up its game once again and with this episode being the final on the road to Sunday's No Mercy it is set to be a good show.

WWE World Championship face off

It was announced this week that the three men who will be involved in the WWE World Championship at No Mercy will all be facing off on this week's SmackDown with each man getting their final chance to ensure they have the advantage heading into Sunday's main event.

John Cena, Dean Ambrose, and AJ Styles will all be given the chance to get things off their chests and try and get into the heads of their opponents and the chances are things are going to get physical. The tension between all three men has been clear for several weeks now and each man has taken each other out on different occasions but with this being the final stop before they step into the ring at No Mercy the stakes will be even higher.

Ever since Alexa Bliss was announced as number one contender for Becky Lynch's SmackDown Women's Championship she has managed to get under the skin of the Irish Lass Kicker and last week jumped the champion during her entrance, stopping her from performing. It's safe to say that the fierce side of Lynch may be forming and Bliss could be set for a lass kicking on this week's show just days before No Mercy.

Can Dolph Ziggler step up?

Last week the Showoff made the decision to put his career on the line against The Miz at No Mercy for a shot at the Intercontinental Championship and given the losing streak he has been on as of late, most would see that as a risky move. Now Ziggler must prove he has what it takes to overcome the odds and prove once and for all that he belongs on SmackDown Live, starting on tonight's show.

The mind games continue

Over the past month, Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton have been battling out a competition of the mind, with both men trying to get into the others head, with neither fully succeeding. Orton has been desperate to get his hands on the Eater of Worlds but has so far failed in his quest, will he be able to finally hit an 'RKO Outta Nowhere' before they finally clash on Sunday?
