The Beijing 2022 Olympic Games rankings are led by Norway, which has 34 medals in total, 15 gold, eight silver and eleven bronze. In second place is Germany with 22 medals, ten gold, seven silver and five bronze. One medal less is the United States, which has 21, eight are gold, eight are silver and five are bronze.

The 16 finalist couples, after performing their short program, will fight for the medals in the free artistic program.

After hosting the volleyball tournament at the 2008 Summer Olympics, the Capital Indoor Stadium will host the figure skating and short track speed skating competitions during the Olympic Winter Games. Built in 1968, this stadium has hosted several major sporting events, including table tennis matches between China and the United States as part of 'ping pong diplomacy' in 1971, and one of the first NBA games in China in 2004.
