In the first fight of the main card, carioca Johnny Walker's main goal is to get back to his winning ways at middleweight. To do so, he needs to beat Ion Cutelaba, from Moldova, a grappling specialist who has been in the UFC since 2016. On the preliminary card, a duel involving two fighters revealed after their participations in the 'Contender Series' program: Jailton "Malhadinho" from Bahia defends his unbeaten record in the UFC against the Swede Anton Turkalj, who is stepping into the octagon for the first time. Another debutant of the night is American Danielle Wolf, who faces Norma Dumont, from Minas Gerais, in the featherweight category.

The preliminary card starts at 8 pm ET and the main card starts at 11 pm. We will have Brazilians on both cards.
THE ONES THAT ARE LEFT...
Without their "original" opponents, Li Jingliang and Daniel Rodriguez will now face each other on the card. It is also worth mentioning that the fights between Nate Diaz vs. Tony Ferguson and Khamzat Chimaev vs. Kevin Holland will be contested over five rounds.
CHANGES:
UFC 279, which takes place this Saturday (10), in Las Vegas (USA), had its main fights completely modified. All because Khamzat Chimaev, who was previously scheduled to make the main fight of the edition against Nate Diaz, exceeded the limit of the middleweight category by about 3.4kg, making it unfeasible for the organization to keep the confrontation against the American, who had no problems with the scales and made the weight of the division up to 77kg without problems.
In light of this, the three main fights of the night at UFC 279 were changed at the last minute. Tony Ferguson, who would have faced Li Jingliang at the event, will now be Nate Diaz's new opponent in the main fight of the edition. With the failure at the weigh-in, Khamzat Chimaev was "rescheduled" to the co-main event and will face the American Kevin Holland, with whom he had a big fight last Thursday (8). Holland, it is worth remembering, would initially face Daniel Rodriguez.
THE MAIN EVENT:
Two Americans meet in the main fight of the night. Nate Diaz vs. Tony Ferguson will brighten up the fight night at UFC 279.
